Send in whatever you do have available with a letter explaining why there is nothing more that you have available. While I know many do not like hiring attorneys because they are expensive, an attorney would be able to help you with the cover letter to ensure the best possible outcome from the USCIS. Unless, people realize that it is in their interest to spread this grass root effort it is all futile. Do you guys really think that distributing fliers by four guys at the parade is going to make a difference.
Though I really commend what these guys did and they were truly heroes but if I were them, then based on the turn out (only 4 people) I would have decided to go back.
After all, these were not doing only for themselves but for every one else too.

Whenever you have a similar doubt, just think of one simple statistical fact - that even at the peak of India's freedom struggle, only 5% of the total population was actively involved; 95% were mute spectators. Did that stop the people who were truly devoted to stop their struggle? No. Our 4 volunteers represent that spirit.

Hello,
One of the clients is not considering EAD as a valid document to enter their facilities. Funny thing is their security team are ok if you have valid visa and I94 but not EAD.
I think this is more of ignorance about EAD.
Can some provide doucumentation which says discrimination of EAD is violation of Law? or some thing that says EAD is a valid document to work adn stay in the country.

I have my receipt number. And I am trying to get a hod of my case folder from th company lawyer.

The change of status would have been effective in october. You do not need to inform USCIS until september. As a matter for your benefit, avoid it telling to USCIS until september. Check with previous company's lawyer if they applied change in status. The attorney will tell you that. I-94 that comes with H1 status change, and is your property and you can demand that from the company. If they do not cooperate, inform USCIS anyway.

Can someone confirm? I know IV is following up with MI state Attorney Generals office, but from reading the ruling the validity of the license is not clear.
Here is a response to a comments by DHS..Looks like for most of us whose i94 will be expired but have filed an application like 485 whic is pending..hence the lawful end date of stay is indeterminate - the license will be 1 year only...bummer

What about all H1-B, L-1, J-1, K-1....all potential EB immigrant, pick a date and do not spend anything on that day. That will hurt this economy and get some attention. Please do not tell me that people on H1 and L1 do not make and spend enough money.

H4 people used to use TaxID instead of SSN in their tax returns (joint filing for ex.). What do they use when they get SSN after EAD ? Do they use SSN or just the Tax ID. Is there any requirement that they inform IRS that they got SSN and start using it instead ?

The receipts will be generated not by Priority Date but by Physically received date. This was obvious right from beginning, but some questions were raised on this forum.
Even though this is how they have documented it, in many of our cases, the packet was received for or signed for at least 1 week before the receive date. When I received the notice, my receive date was June 14th, my notice date was June 16th, but the Fedex reached and accepted date was June 8th:) I guess since there is a back log, may be they started stamping the packets received date and then entering them as the receive date due to back logs on receipting itself. Thats my thought.

I have a question regarding where to file my EAD renewal application. I am a July filer NJ resident and my I-485/EAD/AP were sent to Nebraska and got the AP/EAD approved through Nebraska going by my LIN no. As per the (C)(9) rules it says NJ residents should file to Texas service center and somewhere else I read that my EAD renewal application should be sent to the location where my I-485 is getting processed.
Please share your experiences.

You can begin working for company B on your H as soon as company B files an H petition for you, since the H1B is portable. You can also begin working on your EAD for company B, although that will result in you no longer being in H1B status.
Any employment with company B is a violation of your H1B with company A. If the petition from company B is denied, you will no longer be in H1B status.
You could then go back to work for company A on the EAD. If you wanted to work for company A on the H1B you would have to leave the US and reenter on an H1B visa.
I am assuming your EAD is from an I-140/I-485 filed by employer A. You will want to make sure that your I-140 is portable under AC21, otherwise company A could pull your I-140 causing your I-485 and EAD to be denied.

I filed last week using USPS. I added the service where in the mailed you a signed receipt that it was received basically you fill a pre paid postcard with your address for the receiver to sign and send back to you. I received that back from TSC it is signed by some one with a TSC stamp. USPS delivered it in two days and only cost about $6 ( I used priority mail).
