The line was pretty mad, but it seemed to move rather quickly once the doors were opened at 6pm. My hat is off to those who in the queue who had a word with the queue cutters as well as the Apple staff. (Dear queue cutters get with the program, or go back to your friends at Microsoft.)
I was amazed at the number of people in the queue that didn't buy Leopard. LOL... was the lame free t-shirt really worth your time in the queue?

How is this any differernt than posting a pic of you at a bar or a pic of something while on vacation from your iPhone (or other phone). Even without this Places feature its easy to figure out who isnt at home.

i learned a few years ago that you can never try to show someone else their mistakes, theyll only hate you for it... at this point its become a disgusting obsession with a lot of mac-junkies to show that a g4 is faster than a pentium. at this point its not, the OS is better, the software is better, the user experience is so much more enjoyable its idiotic to even argue.. but lets face it, head to head, single cpu to single cpu th3y got us beat.
ill agree with everyone though, theres a big-storm coming, and when the g5s with 5megs l3 operating at 2gHz are released in mid-2003... its over... for a while.
ive seen dual AMD systems with both cpus at 1.8, and it is amazing... but so what? im not about to trade speed and windows, for enormous power and osX. i dont play games so theres no edge there...
we're right, we know it, and the rest are idiots (except the gamers and CAD, they know what theyre doing)... but i think the matter has been argued enough already, so let me exit with another thing thats been said FAR TOO often...
give us the g5 goddamnit!!

In CT we are taxed I believe 50 cents on every gallon. The problem is that as gas prices rise people buy less of it and the taxes dry up.
It stands to reason that people would drive less. So the projected mileage tax revenue wouldn't be what they say and the already in-place gasoline tax would be less useful because people are driving less. Privacy issues aside, this is a dumb idea. Politically speaking you're not going to win many hearts and minds by taxing the lower and middle classes like this.

Has anyone else found that after installing this their iPhone battery can not get enough charge to turn on? I'm popping into Regent Street this afternoon, but it would be useful to know if anyone else has had the same problem.
Tried a hard reset, and it's not Jailbroken or Pwned or anything.
UPDATE: iPhone is working again. Multiple hard resets, removing sim, unplugging seemed to do the trick.
Glad you fixed the issue but I don't understand how is it possible for a app that is not running in the background to give any issue when it's closed. You know that surely it was something with your phone and had nothing to do with the Facebook app

A gas tax is the way to go for most of the country, but I do believe that in some urban areas, a mileage tax may work. London's congestion charge was effective in reducing gridlock there.
Insurance rates based on mileage driven are also gaining traction.
One thing is for sure, the highway lobby is spending way more money than is available from gas taxes. It's time to rein them in. Most importantly, it's time to stop allowing housing developments to spring up without transit links.

Apart from the backlit keyboard, choice of screen (which is also larger), aluminium casing, expresscard.
Some aren't that convinced that it's worth the extra coin though, and I can empathise with that view too.

Does anyone know if this update fixes the issue of Office depositing some 'recovered files' in the trash upon every boot?
In answer to my own question, I've found out that Office 2011 STILL puts random 'wkresources' files in the trash upon bootup. What's up with that?
