i would really discourage ppl who are not insiders of nebraska uscis or whatever to scare ppl from filing eb2 or converting to eb2 from eb3. how do you know what nebraska is doing?
did not mean to discourage, just be prepared because after the 140 is rejected, you have to start all over again and you lose time in the process. BTW, ask any lawyer, and you will hear the same about Nebraska.
also if you have an MS and are eb-3, by all means transfer to EB-2 with a high rate of success --- again accding to my lawyer.

If lawyer or the employer is slow, then one needs to push them since ultimately you are going to be affected and nobody else.

Sorry to hear about your experience. I can say that I have traveled on several occasions out of the United States to Canada, Mexico and the UK for business and pleasure using Advance Parole without incident. I don't understand how Customs and Border Protection can expect us to remain in the United States indefinitely and postpone living our lives! I am fully aware of the statute but I don't buy into its literal interpretation. This is just an opinion. Ultimately you must decide individually what you feel comfortable doing.

We have only raised $30,000 in the last 50 days; even more alarming, fund raising has gone down drastically in the last 2 weeks. IV has already demonstrated a great deal of leadership and persistence to work on retrogression relief and labor backlog elimination. Till date, I know it may be in one of the BECs if it wasn't lost in transit. I was not able to obtain a screen shot nor do I have a 45 day letter. Still I say, when setting priorities, set it on what can be accomplished in the next two weeks, I agree with you in using the IVs opportunity to speak to bring all issues. But definitely not agree with your tone of voice. IV has clearly stated in its media relations page that members that have no respect to opinions and have no decency in their language can be taken out or censored.

On the other hand, this thing may not affect non IT folks.
My 2 cents - be careful at workplaces and try to avoid discussing about our issues with co workers, 99% of them are ALIPAC, NumbersUSA, Programmer's guild etc....

o.k...I hope you are correct. but how do you explain this ..my friend with a PD in 2004 EB3 had submitted incomplete medicals for his wife as they were expecting a addition in the family ..they submitted during the fiasco with RD in july / aug 2007 ..however no RFE's so far ?? (TSC shows processing dates in end aug 2007 ..which could mean that they are processing sept cases )

It is created to sharing ideas among members - to resolve immigration matters - not to discuss other topics like real estate investments etc. It is okay to quote one's or someone else's progress in financial matters in the context of his/her immigration status, but to make a complete turn and just discuss the specifics of financial investments etc. doesn't have a place on this forum.
