I guess we'll just have to find out in June. Maybe not at WWDC, but who says there won't be a hardware announcement at some point immediately following WWDC? Either way, I'm fine with my iP4....that is until iP5 is available :D

My understanding is, that is not 'quite' right:
Apple is firmly in the Blu-Ray camp (as Microsoft is firmly in HD-DVD).
While there is theoretical HD-DVD support in DVD Studio Pro (and DVD Player), this is ONLY for encoding and decoding mpeg-2 (or H.264). HD-DVD spec 'includes' those codes, but is designed for VC-1 (incidentally, a Microsoft-originated codec). Apple Software, at this time, cannot play VC-1 Video spec - regardless of the media.
It remains to be seen how Leopard changes that; since Apple IS in the Blu-Ray camp, but not HD DVD, I would argue they will probably not going to support VC-1 decoding, and certainly not encoding (why would they? They would have no hardware to burn it), while a Blu-Ray drive will certainly be supported by player and DVD Studio Pro; Blu-Ray does not use VC-1 (in fact, one could argue, currently they are behind the times as they still use mpeg-2, since the H. code, while written into Blu-Ray spec, is not efficient enough yet, and no Sony video release currently supports it, making for - at this time anyway - less efficient compression than HD-DVD).

If the top 50% are declaring earnings equivalent to 88% of the total, it seems entirely proportionate that they should be paying 95% of the total tax. Their true earnings are probably vastly more in percentage terms, anyway.

Does anyone have any experience/recommendations for binding a NAS to Open Directory for user/group authentication? A number of NAS will authenicate to Active Directory, but apparently OS X Server's Windows support is well below par to support this. QNAP have a firmware update expected July/August which will inbclude wider LDAP support, but is there anything that will work now?

That "Plus" sign means you have more text in the text box, but the text box needs to be bigger to show it on the screen. Just pull the text box a little taller and the plus sign will go away. It is possible that you only have an extra couple of blank spaces in the box. (You may have hit return or the space bar and left them at the end of the text in the text box.)

I ask this simple question for you memory geeks out there. When will a 2 gigglebyte chip of the same form factor become available sufficient for a Shuffle "second generation", "version 2"?Already is. But Apple can't/won't offer 2GB or 4GB Shuffles 'cause that's Nano territory.

There are really none of either game on the service. So far I find it works pretty well for the action/sports/racing games they have, but the cost is more of an issue ... and if I was going to hook something to my TV why not get a REAL console? OnLive has ~40 games right now.

Of course not this is ignorant knee jerk city here. Most people don't even buy their phones like this, so this impacts a relatively small number of people. The people it probably impacts the most are those gaming the systems for the phones.
This is not some kind of change or charge that is going to impact the majority of AT&T customers in any way.
Of course some dummies will switch to Verizon and be in the exact same boat because they don't think nor do they educate themselves before they speak, write or act.
It is like cavemen, "More money charge bad... Ugga Bugga"

I'd love to see Apple displace Google Maps on their iOS devices. That would be a major blow to Google and a major win for Apple and their iAd product. The more you tie maps into adverts the more personalized those adverts become. The more successful marketing campaigns. Apple can take iAds to the next level. :cool:

People are seriously complaining about $3? I mean, Jesus. I understand wanting bug fixes and stuff for a version for free. But you really expect this guy to give you major updates for free, when this is probably his career at this point?! Do him, yourself and the rest of us that have to listen to you a favor.. go use another Twitter app and shut up. He�s already said if he could, he would gladly offer an upgrade price for 1.x users.. but that�s not on him. That�s Apple and the app store.

Welp... Got Notes 7.02 today.
Where did you "get" it? Is this something you went out to the store and got, or does IBM provide your company with it, or is this an update and/or a download you find on the IBM site that anyone could install?
I've tried to navigate ibm.com to find patches and updates and stuff, but the site is a maze of bad design and hard-to-find information...

I installed it on my roomates iPhone 3, I wouldn't suggest it for any day-to-day usage....cool proof of concept, but at this point to slow to actually use it for anything useful

what da heck happened to .Mac exclusive widgets?
these are things I want for .Mac (and I have been a user for 3 years).
1. increase of storage to 2gb.
2. price drop to somewhere close to $50.
3. integration of Leopard Mail features (such as Notes and stuff)
4. faster iDisk speed.
5. integration of iCal on .mac
maybe not all of them but at least some.
