From what I can infer from the replies so far:
1. For full time/permanent positions, EAD opens the doors to companies that do not usually sponsor visas. From the salary perspective, a boost might not be possible
2. For contract positions, eliminating the desi layer in between might help increase the rate.
In (2), how do you all intend to do that? A lot of larger clients I've seen have the preferred vendor policy and if the desi company is the preferred vendor, how do you eliminate them?

Hi Gary,
I don't do studio stuff, so I can't advise on lighting, and you already have a lot of expert advice there already :)
My observations are; I think the glass itself looks great, but the red ornaments in #2 are distracting. Obviously a matter of taste since jpreston likes them. The background, keeping in mind that you improvised, has horizontal folds that I found distracting. A piece of black velvet or similar material would fix that, and isn't too expensive if you stick to one or two. I think the backgrounds become expensive when you buy a variety and have the means to move them around quickly to increase paying studio throughput. I think both images look good in general.

The EB5 program is of great interest to many applicants, especially those with the means to participate. he EB-5, Green Card through investment, was created to promote investments in businesses and to create and preserve jobs in the U.S. You can become a lawful permanent resident by establishing a new commercial enterprise and provide full-time employment to at least ten U.S. citizens, legal permanent residents, or other immigrants with employment authorization.
Under section 203(b)(5) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), 8 U.S.C. � 1153(b)(5), 10,000 immigrant visas per year are available to qualified individuals seeking permanent resident status on the basis of their engagement in a new commercial enterprise.
Of these 10,000 visas, 5,000 are set aside for those who apply under a pilot program involving a CIS-designated "Regional Center."

See Matter of Izumii, 22 I&N Dec. 169 (Assoc. Comm. 1998). The RC cannot provide any guarantee of the return of the invested funds if the I-829 is denied.

Company A - EB3 � PD Nov 2004.
Company B - EB2 � PD Feb 2007.
In July-2007 I applied 485 Using Company A EB3. In Apr-2008 I moved to Company B and In Feb 2009 my attorney sent an interfiling request to change the category on my EB3 case to EB2.
My attorney also told that, in general this kind of update look complex to the USCIS people and ignore the request.
If that happens then the next thing is to let our senator or congress man call to USCIS and request them to show more attention on that interfiling request. And you should do this after 3 months after sending the interfiling request.
One question, did you received the same alien number on both the I-140s or not? In my case my alien numbers are also different.
Also as of today I did not know whether my interfiling is success or not. The only way I will know about it is by calling the service center, which I haven�t done yet.
My attorney has confidence that we can get the category changed.
Also as mmrao2007 specified, my attorniey also sent the documents with a covering letter with a colored paper and big bold letters on top, explaining the case and related case numbers.

I believe, you dont have choice but to go with EB3 of the new company. That way, you will still be in US and EB3 (India) is not going to be bad going forward as it crossed major hurdle of April'01. With April 08 bulletin, everyone learned that unused visas flow into different categories. So pretty soon, EB3 ROW will be current and there wouldnt be many people to use all of them. They will flow into EB3 India.

I'm on the 5th year of my H1 (don't ask, had a PD of 2005, caught up in BEC and got laid off last May) and this probably will be the last chance for me to change jobs before I cool my heels and wait for the repercussions of the July Fiasco to be over with.
I can't decide of weather to keep my existing EB2 job or take the new offer and step down to EB3.
Please help!

B. Parallel have applied 485 through company B (Labor & 140 cleared) on May 2008 thourgh TSC under EB2. Also got EAD for 2years, AP and Finger print complete.
C. I had successfully completed stamping once in canada. At that time i never had filed for labor from any company.
Questions:
1) Planning to go for H1 ext stamping in Canada through comp A which is valid till Nov 2009, mentioning YES & entering both Comp A & Comp B for Question 36 in DS 156 (has any one ever filed imigrant visa petition) would create further questions?
Please share your experiences if any and possible questions during interview.
2) Assuming successful stamping in canada , will there be any addition questions on the way back to USA in port of entry based on this 485 pending through Company B and H1 extended through Comp A?
3) Do volunterily mention about the 485 pending or officer might ask ?

They shall allocate all unused Visa numbers in previous years to people stay in backlog for years.
They shall revise the current Name Check procedure so the process can be done predictably.
They shall increase visa number cap and soften the country limits.
They shall pass SKILL BILL...
We have only a couple weeks before the summer recession. We need to keep our solidarity to make our dream true.

I wouldn't know for sure, as I've never messed with bracketing automatically on my D1, but it seems that you could put the camera in aperture priority, set it for +/- 1 bracketing, and it should automatically take a series of exposures by varying the shutter speed and leaving the aperture constant.

I did masters and worked on OPT for sometime with Company A and they applied H1B,
still working for Company A as H1B as Senoir Programmer ANalyst.
At one point CompanyB filed GC process and I-140 approved as a IT Manager in EB2

Any additional documentation which confirms your employment history.
You must submit a currcntly dated letter from your intended permanent employer dcseribing your present job
duties and position in the organization, your proffered position, if different from your current position, the date
you began employment and the offered salary or wage. This letter must be in the original and signed by an
executive or officer of the organization who is authorized to make or confirm an offer of permanent
employment. The letter must also indicate whether the terms and conditions of your employment-based visa
petition or labor certification continue to exist.
If you have changed employers since filing your application for adjustment of status, please submit a statement
which lists the names and locations of all employers you have had in the US and the beginning and end dates of
each position unless these have been included on Form G-325A.

Yes it is positive --At-least senators are sticking to their timetable of CIR by March and April.
I guess that is the reason IV is asking for stories by Wednesday noon, This hearing is also on the same day.
Is this something positive, that can give us some hope? There hasn't been any good news for a long time.

When I requested the company they sent me the "Wage report" form.
I am trying to understand if this is really the "unemployment wage report"?, Is there a specific form number that I need look for and request the company to send me the specific form. It would be helpful if there is specific information related to this form.

I've been using 3dsmax for a year or so...
I mostly do only images like that.
Making characters and animating them is my weak side (I can't do high-quality or smooth things because my computer stops responding (3dsmax is just a little too much for my compu))
