Hi,
I am trying to fill the canadian visa application and would like to know what should I check on Question #8
a) citizen( obviously not)
b) Permanent residet
c) Temporary resident
d)Worker
e) Student(obviously not)
It also asks valid until date(What should I put).I am no longer working on H1B as I am using EAD

How many of you support this idea ?
Rally in DC in the morning and Fasting till 5PM in front of the capitol.
I will certainly support if I know the cause for this fasting & if I know more details on this rally?
btw: I can also support by dancing and singing all night long (of course it comes out naturally after I have 5-6 drinks....:D) just kidding..
when you get a chance give more details on the cause for this rally, date etc., and see how I can support.

Hi,
I have worked for the same employer who filed my 485 as future employment for more than 6 years. He filed for H1 extension in last November'2006. It got denied in June'2007. But he send this denial as Motion to Reopen Case . For my safety I filed another H1 with another employer during this time and I am working for the new employer.
My 140 got approved when I am with my old employer itself. Now he is filing 485 for me as Future employment.
My question is after I receive AC21 and also after six months of receiving the receipt for 485 . Can I jump to another company or is it advisable to work for the company who filed my I-485 until I get my Green card or for how many months ?

I'm considering relocating back to India after getting my EAD since I don't know how long it's going to take to actually get the I-485 approved. My questions are:
1) Is it possible to continue to keep my I-485 application active if I relocate to India and work at the India office of the same company that filed my green card?

If No I-94 attached with the approval notice then you need to get the stamping when you tavel outside the country.

Seems right to me... I think a lot of 2004-2005 applicants are also getting approved.
BTW, I am also a 2006 applicant and July 2nd filer but still waiting... :(

Do not trust what the consulate website says
In 2001 i had my passport renewed in NY
they insisted...and were adamant...that it had to be 11 mnths to expiry not 12 mnths...it makes no sense but they don't care.
they also don't care what the web site says.
i was told that if i wanted to travel i could get a temporary passport, since mine was full...and btw it was damaged (old, overused and beginning to come off at the sea...which is why i wanted a new one) so i would pay a large penalty, and a mnth later when i returned a could again apply for a new passport since it would be 11 mnths to expiring.

Portions of DREAM bill introduced in both houses say that children of ilegal immigrants will be allowed pathway to citizenship if;
Have arrived here at the age of 15 or under;
Have lived in the U.S. for at least 5 years;
Graduate from high school;
Serve in the military or attend college for at least two years; and
Have good moral character.
Now our children (children of legal immigrants)? do they qualify under any of these that are cited above? Infact yes, they do under all of these. If they can introduce bills to consider the children of undocumented / ilegal immigrants, why is there no pathway for citizenship for the children of legal immigrants? Ofcourse they fall under our petitions, but they should be given priority over the others, particularly since their parents pay the most tax/social security etc etc.
