Running 10.7 DP2. iTunes runs fine, until I plug in my iPhone, at which point iTunes beach balls uncontrollably.
Didn't have this problem before, this randomly started ... help?
I'm not having any issues with my iPhone4 and iTunes. I suggest you file a bug report with the system log attached.

There's no difference between these two bits of code in "calling it directly". Both syntaxes are directly calling the function. Do you understand how return values work?
All l'm saying is it didn't work.

If you cd into the root of the volume, after you mount it, and then 'ls -la', do you get the same results (no items)?

Has anyone tried the litescribe on the new lacie burners?
Can't wait for LightScribe either... I'm only hoping Apple will add that feature to all computers in their next rev. Imagine burning a CD with iTunes and having album arts + tracks written on the label, or making a movie and then having a label made from the main menu/title image (or something). It would be perfect for laptops too (no need to carry extra hardware).

They had 500 t-shirts. I got there at 7:15 and I was # 504. No T for me.:(
I was #407 in line at 6:51 PM. Got a shirt (and a nice one it is).
Staff handled everything smoothly. Very upbeat and cordial, especially the key personnel (managers, etc). There were dedicated lines for those just buying Leopard; the whole process took less than ten minutes. Went downstairs to Starbucks and saw three MacBook users installing their new OS (the mall offers free WiFi through Bright House / Roadrunner).

Thanks for the tip about PhoneGap.
The part I'm least confident about is the networking (mobile devices connecting to the Mac without any of them having Internet access). I'm not a networking expert so I'm unclear what I need to do.

Coolio! - *adds name to list of people who want pics*
It would also be interesting to see if the person who had it kept the HD - It is unlikely, but it could have an early development build of Mac OS X Installed - as even back then Apple had Internal Builds for Prototypes to handle all the extra I/O.

I know this might be a stupid question but i have been googling for hours now and i cannot find a solution.
Is there a way to unlock any other basebands off the iPhone 4 not only 1.59.00 that ultrasn0w does.? And if so can you please supply a list of the basebands that are unlockable with Verson 4.0iOS and up.?
No only bb 01.59.00 can be unlocked.
Or use a gevey like the dude said.

Erase and Install.
Lesson: Don't install preview/beta OS over your original OS when you are relying on that machine.

I recently realized the existence of void pointers. These are quite useful if the primitive type for a data storage class is not known. Though, I have a question as to whether I am using them correctly.
My storage class will allocate memory and keep track of the byte size of the individual pieces. The user then set and extract bytes via void * pointers.
The storage class then copies bytes to and from the storage memory as needed. Basically my own crude implementation of NSMutableArray/NSMutableData.
The user gets back a void * pointer and then casts this into whatever is needed. Yes, probably too much responsibility is given to the user.
Anyway, I am concerned about memory leaks. To return a value, I memcpy() the bytes into a newly created memory malloc(). But there is no corresponding free().
The user has to free the memory. But calling free after casting and dereferencing causes a crash. Does memory have to be freed in this case? See last for loop.
Thanks for reading, replying and hopefully a lesson in pointers.

I am a Apple Fan boy through n through. Well i like to call myself the MAC daddy haha!
I have just come across the mac mini server. I want it!!! But not sure it can replace my current set up.
In my garage, i have a Dell 390 workstation with 4 TB of space. I manily use this to keep all my movies, music, and media on. I stream my movies from it via shared drives to my WD TV Live box. Which i love... I use programs like, Vuse / Handbrake actually they are the most common apps i use. Eventually id like to be able to back up my external drives from my imac to the server.
Just wondering if the mac mini server could replace that. As the Dell is power hungry, large and just plain ugly. But it does have 4TB worth of space.
Could the mac mini replace this setup, and if so how?

macnut isn't gonna like this.;)In a way I agree with McCarver, While Torre may have worn out his welcome he did bring us 4 championships. Torre should have been able to leave on his own terms and both sides handled it badly. The Yankees wanted to fire him but they wanted Torre to fall on the sward. Torre was bitter so he wrote the book. He even admitted that the book probably was a bad idea.
The Yankees are wrong to not even acknowledge what Torre did and a lot of why they started to lose was because of the teams they gave Torre to work with. I admit that It was probably time for a new leader of the team but Torre was still due respect for what he accomplished during his time there.
McCarver may have gone over the top in his comments but he was not totally wrong.
The Yankees knew that Torre would not accept a 1 year deal so he walked. That is what they wanted, they had no intentions of giving his an extension. They wanted to take the team in a new directions and that is fine, but don't treat Torre like dirt on the way out. They either should have fired him or told him they were not going to rehire him. They decided to string him along for as long as they could.

10.6.5 from what I can tell
Custom 10.6.5 made specifically for that model line. As far as I know, there are only 10.6.0 and 10.6.3 retail Snow Leopard disks.

This can be fixed by loosening the bottom screws (requires a special tool) and retightening in the right order. If everything else on it seems good then I would ask them to do this. If there are other problems than an exchange might be better.
