* There are four reauthorization legislative bills in the Congress. The E-Verify reauthorization bill is very controversial adn currently facing a stong political opposition from political forces. The House passed the first three bills and forwarded to the Senate quite some time back, but as we reported on 08/02/2008, the Senate floor referred the bills to the Senate Judiciary at the last minute before the Senate left the Hill on August 2, 2008. These bills are currently presented to the Senate in two different formats: One is the format of the Senate's consent to each of these House bills separately. The other is Senator Specter's consolidated bill that put together all of these four bills into one bill. Obviously, Senator Specter's strategy must have been to tie the reauthorization bills to the controversial E-Verify Reauthorization bill. We reported that he apparently changed his mind and was pressuring the Senate Majority Leader to introduce E-Verify bill in the Senate first. Accordingly, it is unclear which strategies will work better to get these reauthorization bills passed in the Senate before they return to the election recess in early October.

This is called waste of brain power ... cramming as much as you can from the dictionary and god knows what. It would have been much better if a child learns some skill or diverts the mind towards exploring a problem or invention . What use is cramming the dictionary when it is available right on your phone now . If you have the internet all the world's knowledge is searchable.

you should possibly also carry a copy of the AP application. At least my application clearly stated that travel was for business/personal reasons...
I am sorry you had a bad experience...possibly because of the officer's ignorance...worth a complaint...maybe you can draft something with your lawyer....don't just ignore such bad behavior...
I have travelled on AP and didn't have any problems..although the officer stamped a wrong date (one day earlier) on my passport..talk about incompetence

One thing that forces you to believe its true is the date itself, why 8 MAY ? it somehow paints a picture that somebody did calculated the remaining visa numbers and arrived at the exact comfortable date. Guys, chances are its fake, but you never know. :)

It doesn't take too much effort to copy an old bulletin and replace month with September and change some dates here and there with likely dates which would still look very authentic. Seems like someone hacked into this no name website for sadistic pleasure...someone who is not very pleased with significant EB2 movements in last 2 months.
The formating is also off. All other pages have a professional look. Why would the webmaster of a professional firm not pay attention to this. This indeed looks like a cheap hacking trick done in a bit haste. I am quite positive that real september VB with Q's predictions coming true will come tomorrow :) So my suggestion is to relax and have a good night sleep. Next day truth will reveal itself

Look at this. Even when the conversation if totally on "high-killed workers", there is always and has to be always, a line or a sentence about illegal immigrants. I have this doubt also.
If the priority dates are current in Visa Bullettin, the applications will be processed based on RD. If the dates are not current or unavailable, the applications will be processed based on PD. This is my understanding of the process.

"Advance parole is an extraordinary measure used sparingly to bring an otherwise inadmissible alien to the United States for a temporary period of time due to a compelling emergency. Advance parole cannot be used to circumvent the normal visa issuing procedures and is not a means to bypass delays in visa issuance."

decreasing to 20/mth does NOT increase the number of contributors proportionately and make up for funds. there is a small increase but many 50/mth people also switch to the lower amount (why should i if other's don't?- see your own example- you could have continued 20/mth- your ego that the option was closed to new people made you switch of entirely)
also many of the 20/mth contributors only notionally join up, they cancel the payments soon enough. the net results is a very poor flow of funds. i don't know how much more explicitly i can explain this.
you have the option of paypal to contribute smaller amounts. but you want the convenience too...lots of take...little give.
today the total recurring contribution barely funds our basic needs let alone lobbying. the fact is that if people don't step up, we can all shut down and go home. then let's stew with 1/1/00 or 2001 dates and wonder if someone will help us in the altruistic mode. or maybe you can then step up and give 20/mth again at that point? :)
as you well know the motivation to proactively do something is not high in our community. everyone states their own reasons- the result however is poor participation. you are of course aware that members miss the rally because they were sightseeing in the DC area...
as for the guy with 0 contributions...you know rajesh...everyone starts like that...this guys has spent a long time like that...maybe too long...but that's his personal deal. he can give a lower amount by paypal...he just can't make himself give at all. whatever, i'm not passing judgements actually- i'm pointing out to you as one who has been around- that it does NOT deserve a promotion star. if giving nothing deserves it, you might as well not be here, we might all as well leave too. because there is no free lunch...or dont you know that by now?

EB3 I-140 approved - priority date 2006. no growth/promotions. Cannot switch to another Employer as I am close to 7th year on H1B. I am now officially a (white collar) slave.

You will not have any problems since you already submitted AC21 documents (keep certified mail receipt with you).....so whatever your attorney said, it is correct....you don't need to worry.....even your employer withdraws your I-140 it won't be having any problem.....it happened in my case....I have sent AC21 docs....after that employer withdraws I-140.....but nothing happened to I-140
"Ability to pay issue" is right in employer's view.....he can able show the ability for one more application if he withdraws your application.....
How did you find your file was not updated AC21 docs..... better way is go to local USCIS and asked your attorney name whether it is the changed one or previous one if you have changed them.....call I800 and asked them few details like attorney name and company name etc..... see some times they won't reveal any info....you have to find out the way to get right answer (like tell them old attorney's name and say didn't get any updated information about your case etc)....
I am in the same boat and my employer has decided that they will revoke I-140 no matter what. Can you tell me how did you find out that your employer revoked your I-140. Maybe he/they did not. But my firm is really big and they go by the rules. So I just want to know whenever employer sends the revocation, does USCIS always revoke or it is upto their discretion whether or not to revoke. Problem is I do not have a job yet so I cannot even file for AC21.
