Unfortunately it panics even without the cards - turn on bong, them white screen with apple logo then grey screen with power symbol saying you need to restart your computer and over the top of it all some script about the 'unresolved kernal trap(cpu0)
Would it help if I posted the script or anything from it?
btw the ticking seems to be coming from the back of the power supply near the inlet. Non of the fans are twitching etc

apparently apple needs to educate the local news programs better. my local nbc news reporter in nyc just said that "the iphone does send tracking information back to apple".

So whats your opinion, personally i think it was to focused on the iphone...
im in the uk so it doesnt come out here for ages...GREAT. and no new software, not even an update, that blows. Iphone looks great tho. Also the Apple TV seems altoghether useless to me? why does it need a 40gb hard drive and processor if it connects wirelessly to computers? surely streaming would have been more clever? and tey didnt even updated the screens to work properly with it! And itunes store UK still has no movies!!! GRRR. Pointless fo anyone in the uk in my opinion, whats the point of it? big whoop i can watch my music thru my crappy tv speakers ?? :confused: :mad:

He did it with an app called geektool. It takes a little know how to do, but there are plenty of dummy proof guides on youtube.
I used to use geektool until I got a few Kernal panics and I noticed my mac taking a performance hit from it. Be careful when your messing with system tweaks!

The statement was made that although iOS is comfortably in the lead in the US, that it's behind in the rest of the world. Given the closeness of the phone units sold, I'd be _VERY_ surprised if iOS had a lower penetration than Android.

I've not given for a couple of years since our town hall was closed for refurbishment (that's where the donor sessions were held). But this has inspired me to look up a session next week.

I think Microsoft's Remote Desktop is a wonderful app.Agreed, this is a very handy app. Unfortunately, when I tried it a few months ago, it wouldn't work for me. It took me a while to figure out why. The answer: All the PCs I wanted to connect to have Symantec pcAnywhere (http://sea.symantec.com/content/product.cfm?productid=16) installed, and that prevents Microsoft's app from working, whether by design or for some technical reason. So I can't control the PCs as I'd hoped.

Ok thats positive news for me. Maybe it just didn't like 10.5.0 and the update for 10.5.8 will include whatever fixes are required
