Icon set? :rolleyes:
Sorry, the icons are not part of any set,, PS, Mail, Journal = I Made as 1 off's, the Safari & trash icons are original after using silver pro nik filter, Toast 9 & Aperture are standard, Itunes and google chrome I cant remember where i found and the hard drives were from MacThemes, they are Mac Pro Carriers, appropriate as i'm using a MP, only Icon ive a link for is Finder before I put it through Photoshop.

Hit command-j at the desktop and you'll get something that looks like this. Check 'Show Item Info' and you're good to go. :)

Apple should just roll their own.
They have the power, the talent, the size, and certainly the scale, to go their own way with an excellent chance of success.
The more things they do in-house, the better. It'll only enhance the Apple ecosystem and grow it.
Is this always the best approach? Unless Apple intends to invent something beyond the wheel, why just invent the wheel all over again? The duplication of effort doesn�t sound very cost effective. And for good or ill, we do operate in a Neo-Liberal economy where it�s most cost effective to source services and products from others. All the same I can understand the Google thing, but I don�t think the article�s �distance itself from Google� language is the best choice of words. Reduce dependency on Google would be more accurate. Anyway, I would have to think that Apple�s plan is to move beyond the wheel. I wonder what that will look like?

Do we all like price fixing ?
Apple products are too often kept at RRP - not sure if its always by agreements with apple - "don't discount more than 10% or lose authorised reseller status"
Obviously good for apple products, but not for the consumer.
My understanding of price fixing, is when two competing manufacturers sell the same type of product and agree to only sell at a certain price, usually to keep the product at an unnaturally higher price then necessary. An example of this would be if Apple, contacted Samsung, and discussed making their tablet computer for sale at a certain price, to keep the price igher so that both companies would make more profit.
However, this is not the case with the Ipad. Most electronic products are given a manufacturers retail price, and you as the retail store, do not have the right to sell at a larger than agreed upon discount. The way some companies get around this is by packaging products and accessories together. This is done by every major manufacturer, from Apple, Sony, Samsung, Sharp, Nintendo, Microsoft, etc... Go check the Tv's in Best Buy, and then check Fry's, and then some other retailers, they will all be the same price essentially. Look at the PSP's or PS3 or the Wii. All are price controlled by the manufacturer. there is nothing illegal about this. That depends on the design of the display housing. As Apple currently employs tapering, the bezel will be a bit thicker, though the 17" MBP has a very small bezel already.
Or look at the older MBPs and PowerBooks. It is possible, even 5mm or less is possible, but the tapering has to be taken away or the edge thickness will be thicker.

I think some decent smart minds need to sit together, and work out this whole patent problem thing... It's getting ridiculous. They should just open it up to everybody. F$&# it, may the best company win then.
Samsung to sue Apple over the iPhone.....ha ha ha....Yeah because the Galaxy phones are so original?? WTF You dont have to be a brain surgeon to see the blatant copy Samsung has done of the iPhone.

Not really.. If you watched Steve Jobs' interviews, you should have gotten a different conclusion... Steve quoted Picasso as saying: "Good artists borrow, great artists steal..."
My conclusion is that Apple stole a lot of ideas... And I mean A LOT... But you know what, they took those ideas and made them more user-friendly, higher quality, pretty much all the pros that go along with any Apple product...
That's why I said in an earlier post that patents like that are ridiculous... It should be open for everyone and may the best company win...
That's also why we always learn about Thomas Edison and not Nikola Tesla. :cool:

I don't like the idea. The moment they start chipping away at devices, it'll set a bad precedent for future negotiations. It'll be hard to get back those rights. Apple, hold strong!! :)
Like I said in the post... I don't see them getting to far in negotiations, since the Disney/iTunes partnership has already shown some positive results. They are nit-picking, and if they are wise, they aren't going to shy away from $50+ million just because of nitpicking issues.

Those boobs are so fake. Audrina's boobs aren't even that big ! I don't think they're so much fake as they are heavily airbrushed. Although I guess that still is a level of fake:)
