In addition to the Japanese version, there are four other non-English ads (http://www.digg.com/apple/Apple_s_Get_a_Mac_campaign_goes_international). Unfortunately, unlike the Japanese one, they are simply dubbed and do not use other actors.

All this image shows is that the person measuring the white iPhone 4 has no idea how to use a caliper. The idea of a caliper isn't to squeeze the crap out of whatever you're measuring. It is obvious that the in the right picture they are squeezing much harder just looking at the discoloration of the persons skin on their thumb.
Yes, a micrometer would be a more repeatable measurement method. Can I see a gage R&R study and and 30 piece capability study, please. :)

There's something online that says a month of Gold for $1, but I don't want to have to auto-renew after that not knowing the price.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think in order to get the $1 deal, you have to be renewing your membership, not starting it. I don't remember exactly, but a friend of mine tried doing this a while back, and it didn't work. I just stick with the subscription cards for both Live and for MS Points.
I have seen a 12-month card at Amazon for $35. They need an idiot's guide to this...
Yea, if you look around, you can usually find the 12-month cards for under $40. As you found, Amazon is always a good place to start.
Halo 3 so far is a little confusing because I have never used an Xbox controller and it's been years since I played a game like this.
If you end up getting Xbox Live Gold, let me know if you want a co-op partner for some Halo. I'm always game for some Halo, and have played it a ton, so I can help you figure things out if you need. My gamertag is the same as my username here.

I agree with the crop. I'm not sure why I didn't think of it or do it before. I remember feeling the same way but then ignoring myself. :)
This is a "quick and dirty" crop using the crop tools in flickr. I would like more room on the right for the table. This is cropped to the edge of the empty chair, so to do a bit more room I'll have to erase the part of the chair that shows. I may try that when I have more time.

You may have some room to bring the top and right in a little tighter to match the bottom and left crop.

I found the original crop interesting at first glance but the more I looked at it the more I lost interest. It may have been the clutter of the bars and expanse of the table and chair to the right - the main focus seemed to get lost. I dunno. ;)

It's clear that some iPhone 4s are thicker.
Probably just terrible manufacturing, different moulds, etc. That could definitely be a contributor. But hey, I'm not a manufacturer. Just speculating! :D

....this probably means Apple is already pricing these exceptionally low and can't discount them any more than that.
Further I seem to recall the iPhone and iTouch weren't available for volume or educational purchasing for quite some time... I know they weren't available through bussiness accounts for a quite some time.
The other thing this suggests is that there won't be a $100 price drop in 3-6 months like there was on the iPhone... if they were to be able to drop the pricing that much in the near future they'd offer education a bigger discount now.
Finally for those that don't see why these would be a boon for universities... most students going into university already have laptop, they don't really want to buy new laptops through their university. Requiring all incoming students but a $500 iPad is a lot more palatable than requiring they all by $2000 laptops. Having the entire student body standardized on one platform is huge for teachers and authors.

I suspect the next iPhone, released in June, July, or September will be largely unchanged from the 4. An A5, sure. Maybe higher storage capacities. A "world" model, from what the Verizon exec said. Black or white. That's about it.My thoughts exactly.

I have come accross another bug, or it's my dual G5... or Atszyman is spoking me out! :mad: Like he's ever gonna catch up with me!
This is the case: I have three folding widgets running for over a week now, no problem in that week. I have three because I want to monitor someone behind me (Atszyman) and my next overtake in front of me. But when I just looked all three widgets where on Atszyman.

Also keep in mind that the ps3 has tons more exclusives coming later this year as well.
Even with a complete re-design i'd still be nervous buying a slim 360 right away. MS has shown after several mobo revisions that they couldnt get the rrod issue under control with the fat 360s, so i'm not sure if i trust them to cram everything into smaller, albeit better ventilated, case.
Anyone know what flashed fatties are going for these days? I'm hoping that with the new hardware shipping people might be selling their flashed 360s in order to upgrade. I wouldnt mind having a 360, but i dont want to buy the necessary stuff to flash it myself.

Birth rates have fallen dramatically and the explosion of diabetes and other modern ills in countries like Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, the UAE, etc. means things will change simply because they have to. He's better than the McCain would have been in most things, but on a whole he gives in to the Republicans way too much. He passed their healthcare plan instead of one that would actually work, kept Guantanamo open, and as far as "National Security" goes he's about the same as Bush. So basically, he was the best of the two choices, but still not very good.

I have watched and seen children lose the concept of consequences for their actions.
Sadly it is sometimes the school that gives the kids the idea that they can do anything. Turn in your home work 2 days late and the teacher says OK.
When I was in school they would throw it away if it was late.
It seems that Congress wants to replace working brains with mindless laws.
I hope this doesn't happen. And yes I do write my Senator and Congressman to express my concerns.

Whats this feature for? I don't know if it was in SL Server but its part of the mail settings and don't know if its for certification or for using apple's mobile me mail service for pushing mail to iOS devices.
