Curious.. when Wii came out, they were EVERYWHERE.. every store had stock, etc..
Now that I want to buy one for my son, they are sold out everywhere with long waiting lists..
Whats the deal? What am I missing? New version?

sorry I should re-word what I originally said,
The software isn't cracked, I was given the software and a serial number, I presume my friend bought the software and gave me a serial number to use however I did not purchase it and I do not have the installation disks available to me anymore, all I was wondering is if I were to update the software would I need the disks to hand and if I did not purchase the software would this matter.
I am a student in the UK and I understand the MBP is expensive and the software in comparison is a negligible amount of money however I purchased this following a LONG time saving up and as I have no income except that for living costs I was glad to get some free software, I am not in the business of stealing software or piracy.
I was advised to come to these forums for help and advice from other Mac users, I didn't expect hostility and rudeness...

Unfortunately i would go ahead and say to see if you could get a new macbook. Of course you should bring it to an Apple store and see how much it would be to get them to fix it... if it isn't too much I'd get it fixed but... the MBPs are really nice.

I have an Alpine iDA-X305S in my car that I have been running my 32gig iPod Touch for about a year now with no problems.
Today I updated the software on the iPod to the latest available and now scrolling through the artists through the head unit is very sluggish (a huge understatement) or doesn't even scroll at all.
The unit is supposedly made for iPod.
I have no idea what to do, I have tried resetting the iPod and the head unit, but nothing changes.

Another factor I think that effects the different resale value is the fact that the MBP is portable.
Since the MBP is carried around there is a high chance that it had a small bump or two. Which lowers the resale value. While the MP is in a single place (for most people) and thus the case is still in "perfect" condition.
Another thing is that the MBP has a battery that after a few recharge cycles it would start to deteriorate thus reducing it's functionality and resale value. Depending on it's cindition the buyer would need to send the MBP to Apple to have it replaced extra cost on the buyer.
This is what I think. If I would buyer a second hand MBP I would take these factors into consideration apart from the usual dilemmas about it's CPU and the rest.

Samsung's new "Super" AMOLED are actually somewhat visible outside. They are an improvement in that respect. Besides that, it will have inferior color reproduction and (IMO) over-saturated colors.

psst... change your title. some ppl may get confused and think it's the *new* new iPhone.
haha, I might just change it to Unreleased iphone for sale :P
I'm not interested in the phone, as I already have my own soon-to-be-outdated iPhone. ;)
But I had to comment on your avatar. Scrubs is my favorite TV program of ALL time!
Awesome show.

Line Update: Apparently my number are off or my eyes deceive me. Apple rep did a count and said there were 89. See pic.
I drove by the Leawood Apple Store, but opted for BestBuy at 119th & Metcalf. I was number 19 in line and got exactly what I wanted. White 64 GB WiFi 3G AT&T.
I may go by the Apple Store and try to get a Red Leather Cover.

If it doesn't know the command work, then it isn't installed (correctly). Remove any old files and install it again. You should be getting something like this:

I agree. Audion was my Mp3 player of choice in the pre-OsX days... they abandoned it though, and now it's free... I use it again now... just to pre-sort "new" MP3s so I don't mess up my iTunes library...

You shouldn't add an extra release. Is this what you have?
Yes
@synthesize mapView;
- (void)dealloc
{
//NSLog(@"Retain cont address=%d geoLoc=%d workingPropertyString=%d mapView=%d",[address retainCount],[geoLoc retainCount],[workingPropertyString retainCount],[mapView retainCount]);
[updateData release];
[updateConnection release];
[address release];
[geoLoc release];
[workingPropertyString release];
[mapView release];

My brother lost his original iPhone 4 last week, and the insurance replaced it.
I just bought a white iPhone (even though I have a black one & hate white). The reason is due to its greatly improved new antenna. The white is thicker due to the improved antenna.
When compared to the brand new black one my brother got, the white is far better. The difference is so dramatic, nothings been changed on the Antennagate black phone. That's a total shame.
I was shocked, yet happy I could finally buy an iPhone 4 I'm happy with. One that has a good useable phone that doesn't drop calls or break up.
My black Speck Pixel Skin case fits good since it was a bit loose on my black one.
I'm so relieved and happy to have a great iPhone now.

Thats great! Thank you for the answers.
I think 3gs is very smooth, didnt see any lag so far and i am playing with it a lot.
The reason i couldnt buy ip4 is its price here in Turkey, it is around 1300USD.
Hopefully i will switch to iphone 5 in september if i can buy from the UK as simfree version. Are simfree versions available with the first launch? Or they wait carriers to sell enough contracts first?
