I did a concurrent submission of I140 and I485 on July 2nd. As and when the 140 PP comes back, can I get PP done even though I have already sent my application?
Yes. You can change your application from regular to PPS at any time provided USCIS is accepting PPS for that category ( such as for I-140).

We are chasing behind so many stuffs at this important time. We should forget about the merits or demerits of point system. It can be good or bad. We should forget about how Z visa holders get more benefit than us. It is something not in our control and big politics behind everything in the bill. Therefore, we should not concentrate on this as it is not our objective. We should focus only to eliminate retro in EB ASAP. We should try to bring a simple amendment to the bill, so that retrogression in current EB ends ASAP.
A simple thing to do is do not change drastically current form of bill. Don�t waste time on analyzing or chasing behind merits and demerits in H,Y,Z visas or all other positive or negative stuffs in this bill.
We should have only one focus. Eliminate EB retro first. For that a simple amendment will be, 242K visa is open to both old EB and newly created merit system. That�s all. This amendment will eliminate the retro immediately. All other discussions and efforts are waste of time and energy

CITI Bank usually send the 1099. But if you have account with ICICI or some other Indian Banks they do not send it. Also check if your bank in India deducting Tax (Usually called as TDS) on interest you earn. That amount you can deduct on US tax return as foreign taxes paid.
You are right. I just confirmed also with ICICI(my bank) and they do not send 1099. Damn.
So what should I do now. Do I report the interest income from prior years (its very small.... less than $200/year) and file TD F 90-22.1 form this year.

employer changed office space locations in March 2008 no update was provided to USCIS as we just shifted certain operations to a bigger space and older address still valid for receiving letters
May 2008 140 case transferred from Nebraska to Texas service center
September 2008 dreaded email from USCIS automated systems "RFE request for initial evidence case placed on hold"
waited 10 days no response Lawyers called 1st time to USCIS help line received response that about duplicate notice sent. re-verified addresses for both lawyers and employers
15th day from RFE notice employer called USCIS (applicate cannot speak as 140 cases pertain to employer)updated address for employer provided
20th day from RFE notice Lawyers called again help line same response indicating another notice sent. Lawyers also send letter out to Nebraska service center indicating not receiving of RFE letter
28th day from RFE notice employer calls again (this time 800 number found on immigration portal website belived to be the 800 number for Texas service center) same response. USCIS officials issue a tracking case # and indicate that employer would either receive email within 5 working days or notice within 2 weeks.
30th day from RFE notice Lawyer call USCIS again about not receiving the RFE documents. New letter drafted and sent to the Texas service center.
Lawyers ask for assistance from ALA (American Lawyers Associations) for determination of status of RFE
Today we stand at the 43rd from the date of email from USCIS about RFE and no letter has yet being received by either employer or Lawyers
what am I supposed to do? what are my options?

Is it possible to transfer H1 from company A to B after I-140 approval and H1- 3 year extension and continue the GC process (apply for I-485 when date becomes current) with company A provided company A has no objections?

I am not sure though!
Why is it that important? Before EAD was taking about 1.5-2 months. Now it will take a lot more, more than 90 days. I don't think now they will care about that 90 days thing. It wasn't a law requiring them to issue EAD in that period, they were just saying "if you haven't received in 90 days - call us" - that's all.

I got my approval today after the CP appointment. I am still waiting for my passports though. I will update you guys with details once I receive my passports.

Thanks NikNikon for the advice. I shoot everything from inside the arena so I can move between events to get the best position. Right know the strobes are out of my budget. Thanks MatsP also for your input. After your comments and talking with someone from Showcase here in Atlanta I feel much better :) about what I ended up with. This must be one of the toughest shooting environments you can come across. Do you think a bracket mounted flash would help any with the red eye? Also after 2200+ photos I am trying to learn to batch process pictures with photoshop. I am really please with how the unsharp mask helps the noise from the higher ISO. Any suggestions on batch processing tips to enhance sharpness, reduce noice and adjust levels & color are welcome. I have used photoshop for years in my printing trade but never learned it's full potential for use with photography. Also are any of you using Nikon's Picture Project? Particularly the D-lighting adjustment?

Did you get the receipt for your dependent's 485 application or was it rejected before they issued a receipt?
They issued receipt(starting with LIN 08XXXXXXX) and it came with the status as rejected. And infact they returned complete application.They asked me to correct and re-send the application to different P.O.Box after correcting.

Hello Guys,
I have E-Filed for EAD renew on jne 27th and have sent all the supporting documents the following day. But on Aug 6th recieved an RFE for the photos I haven't sent along with the documents and asked me submit 2 color passport photos. It was my understading that I don't have to send the photos while E-filing since they will be taken at the bio-metric appt. I am done with my bio-metric appt. Do i need to contact USCIS about this or is there any thing you guys can suggest me.

It�s been long since I got head ache..but today I had every reason to get.
I tried taking an appointment for h1B for December. Here is my experience�
1. After entering the receipt details it took me to available dates calendar. In this screen there was no option to pick an specific date for appointment. This screen was same as the screen we get when we check for available date without entering receipt number.
2. I pressed �Continue� and it later took me to DS156.
3. Filled the form and it took me to screen which displayed my name against a check box with 3 option. The screen says..�select the form to edit/complete..� 3 options I can see are DS156,DS157 and petition details. No matter how many times I edit the information I can�t get the choice to pick the appointment date. Basically I have filled up the form without knowing the appointment date.
4. If I try to download the appointment letter it says..�You cannot download until you specify courier address��.
Has anyone experience similar problem�?? Any work around�.??
Any help is greatly appreciated�thanks in advance�
