Roewe W5 Shanghai Motor Show 2011

Finally! Since 2007, prototypes of the Roewe SUV's roads. Several times he was announced as being "almost ready". But only now officially unveils the Roewe W5.

Before selling Land Rover, BMW had forbidden Rover to launch an SUV (to avoid confusion.) Roewe Rover is not, he does not care about the agreement. And if we took the W5 for a Range Rover, it suits well.

If his profile sounds familiar, because it is a rebadge Ssangyong Kyron. It's a hangover from the days when SAIC (owner of MG-Roewe) was the principal shareholder of Korean manufacturer.
Chinese SUV market is sufficiently promising that SAIC is bent on developing it.

The statement is hardly chatty. Only that it will be available in 4 × 4 × 2 and 4. One learns more living in Shanghai.
