Soccer Team signs 1 year old to a Professional Contract

See this is exactly the reason that soccer refuses to catch on in the US, here we like sports that 1 year olds can't master.

Well it turns out the contract and the press conference were just a big publicity stunt held by the Dutch club VVV-Venlo. The contract is officially being classified as a "symbolic" one.

Well who is this 1 year old anyway? His name is Baerke van der Meij and apparently he has a hit youtube video where he is kicking balls into his toy chest.
