I've used pcs all my life from about age 5 until now at 17. I work at a local computer store (pc) and im gettign my a+. recently my school got a new mac lab consiting of studio displays and g4 1.0ghz towers. I fell in love with os x upon first using it. It was at this point i went to the local used computer store and bought a 400mhz b&w g3. So far im loving it. my pc has not been on since tuesday :)
My only regret is not waiting af ew more months and buying a new, faster mac, but hey this is one heck of a start for 200 bucks with almost 600mb of ram :)

If you want to use a sequence of Terminal commands, you can put them in a shell script file (e.g., file /Users/myname/myscript), give the file execute permission (with the command chmod ugo+x /Users/myname/myscript), and then have AppleScript invoke the script rather than invoking a single Terminal command.
--- Example ---
Applescript:
tell application "Terminal" to do script "/Users/myname/myscript"
File /Users/myname/myscript:
#! /bin/sh
cd /Users/myname/perlstuff
...perl conversion command...
...other commands...

Some things to consider:
How portable does it need to be? You can just put your iPod in your pocket, but the iPad is more of an effort to carry around. There will almost certainly be times that you would have your iPod with you, but not your iPad.
Do you need 3g? If so then you need either the iPad or a mifi.
If you will be playing lots of games then the iPad has more options (it can play most iPod games plus some that the iPod doesn't).
If you haven't already then have a play with it. Personally, I find the iPod screen a bit small, both for reading and operating.
Do you need cameras? If so, the original iPad isn't for you.
Basically, nobody else can say what will fit your needs best. You need to decide exactly what you want it for and then work out what best fits your needs.

The newest Rev C 2.0 GHz model uses the prosumer motherboard
which limits you to 4 GB RAM and 33MHz standard PCI expansion slots.
Many users are wary about the longevity of the water cooled 2.5, as well as the 2.7 Some were also having noise issues and they run pretty hot.
The best 2 current PowerMac options are the 2.3 NEW or
trying to catch a refurbished Rev B 2.0.
If Apple does upgrade the PowerMacs next week, consider the benefits
of any new features against the benefit of a great price on a 2.3
This would also trickle down to the refurbs as well, so you ight get a fantastic deal on a Rev B 2.0

That is odd. I've been using mine for a week or so and not being too cautious about where I carry it... No scratches or scuffs at all.

I think you should change setting, after that it will not working then you should consult with customer care.

My TiBook's trackpad does this every now and again, so you are not the only person out there with this issue.

May be a good idea to describe what these are -- photos, links?
They are a set of great studio monitors. If you're into a little home recording, you can't do much better for the money.

Yes, it always has been, and always will be held in San Francisco at the Moscone Center.
As far as I know there is no age limit.

Yes because the "problematic disk" work fine on other devices.
Looks like it was a Roxio issue. The files played fine when i burned them from the smart burn folder.

The liner notes is something I REALLY want. They should take the digital booklet to the next level. You could click on the album art, and up pops the digital booklet, using some cool Core Animation stuff so you can flick through it like the real thing.
I can't see them linking to YouTube videos (more likely link to the music video on the Store). But I'd love to see them enhance it so I can link a music video to a song, instead of having it as a separate entry in the library. Each song with a video linked to it would have the music video icon on the right hand side. Double click on a song and it plays the normal MP3 audio, click on the music video icon and it plays the music video.
And lyrics aswell, definitely. I use a dashboard widget at the minute which is easy enough, but would be nice to have a good way to view them in iTunes (Getting info is not a good way, before anyone says :P)

I jailbroke my itouch a little bit ago with redsn0w and my current firmware is 3.1. I have the itouch 8gb that was released previously to the 4g model. So that's like what ... 3g/2g?
With redsn0w, it currently is a tethered jailbreak. So I would need pc to boot my itouch.
Is there any latest firmware that I can update to and still jailbreak. Also, preferably make it untethered? Thanks
You will have the 3G model then, what you want to do is upgrade to 4.1 then jailbreak that using "limera1n or greenpois0n" there are many instructional websites, or just ask back here for help.
But 4.1 is your best option

I can't access mine either. A few hours at most I can understand, but this is ****** lame for a pay-service. Giving more information would be the polite thing for Apple to do ...

I used to love my wired keyboard and my mighty mouse and thought I would never ever get used to my wireless keyboard and magic mouse.
It took me a week or so, I will admit, to get used to them both and now I would not go back for all the tea in China!
Trust me, you will get used to them and never look back...:)
