Photoshop is terrible for pixel art. The right mouse button contextual menu slows things down - though it is great for alpha channels and scaling without filters.
For pure pixel art I use the art editor in a PC app called MMF2. Other pixel artist buddies used to use Graphics Gale, I believe that used to be the standard.
Unfortunately these are all PC only. Though I imagine they could be emulated under OSX just fine.

Don't think so I've bought Apple merchandise at NMSU, no has ever asked me for an ID or any other proof of being student/faculty/staff. However, I am a student, so maybe they're just used to seeing my face.
Look at it this way, the worst they can tell you is "no." Personally, I doubt that will happen.
I think for the release events the bookstore will want a student ID since the price is a promotional one until the end of the month (actually you have to preorder to get the $89 price tag if you don't buy a copy tonight). I think they required my ID when I bought Tiger from them.

I actually just called apple to inquire about switching from a magic mouse to a trackpad. I decided to stick with the mouse, but she was nice enough to give me free upgraded next day shipping per my super-nice request. So I saved a few days and bucks:

An interesting quote: The problems involve the Working Families and Disabled Person's Tax Credits system, which was replaced in April 2003 by an updated system called the Child Tax Credit and Working Tax Credits system. The new system is dogged by problems and may be too complex ever to implement properly, the report says.
What are the chances this is implemented in Windows?

Seems that I have B07 that should be working fine as you said...
Hmm....
Off-hand, there's a couple of other things you could try (proverbial shot in the dark, but has been known to happen and cause instability in the past):

Did you compare two fresh installs?
Nope, I have installed Lion DP1 "on top of" Snow Leopard, and DP2 over DP1. But in my world, that shouldn't impact the boot time positive if at all...

Something I've always wondered about these flexible screens is while they're really neat looking, all the rest of a phone's components are not flexible, so the fact that the screen is flexible is kind of redundant, no?

Hi all
Just want to check something:
I've tried all CSS methods I can think of to centrally align a legend at the top of a fieldset, but whilst they seem to work on Safari, they fail to make any difference in Firefox.
So, I've resorted to using <legend align="center">. Just wondered if anyone else had come across this issue and whether they managed to resolve it?
Thanks
Doug

According to a new PDF file which can be found at mosr Motorolla's current powerpc architecture can eventually take them to 3ghz+ but their current roadmap only takes them to 1ghz with the7455 . We will probably be seeing that chip in the future imacs, and maybe powerbooks too. But they say "G4+" which means they don't have any plans to stop working with apple right away, as G# is a name that Apple gives, not motorolla. But will Apple use them all the way to 3ghz or beyond? If not how slow is moto gonna have to advance to get dropped? I am not seeing a real great processor in Apples future (If they adopt the 970 they might pull ahead eventually, but they will only be equal at the start), but Apple really needs some great product if they want to keep alive.

I've been trying for days to connect to the wii shop channel but it never does. it used to in 15-30 seconds. it'll go from the page with the word "Wii" in big font to the page that says "Connecting... Please wait" but after that it just stays there making the weird chime noise. what do i do?

my QS 933 /1 Gb ram runs Leopard better than my iBook 1.33 Ghz / 1.5. For some reason the QS is faster with everything. maybe it's the faster HDD.

Adding a second card doesn't "take the strain" off the first card, whatever that means
It is possible to "take the strain off" the first card if you are running OpenCL applications. But unless you're a research scientist that probably isn't the case.

It's hard to give specific advice without code to look at but...
Put the thing you want to move up in it's own movie clip. Put an instance of the clip on top of the background and mercury. Give the instance a name so you can refer to it in action script. They are different ways you could layer stuff, but start simple and only get more complicated if you have to.
I assume you have some actionscript already that is correctly scaling the mercury, right? That's where you want to put the script to move the banner. Assign a value to the .y property to move it up and down. E.g. if your instance is called "banner" then banner.y = 100 will move it to position 100.
Figure out which y position corresponds to 0% and which to 100%. Let's call those two values yfor0 and yfor100. Yuo can then calulate the current .y position for the banner like this:
banner.y = yfor0 + (yfor100 - yfor0) * percentToTarget;
Once you've got that working, add a dynamic text field to the banner movie clip. Give it a name, e.g. percentDisplay. Then you can access it in script. E.g.,
banner.percentDisplay.text = String(percentToTarget * 100) + " %";
(you probably want to play with rounding to whole number for display)
Likewise you probably want to create another text field for displaying the $ amount raised.

a) phone just came out
b) probably not. The iPhone gets warm when you charge it+ use gps/3G antenna, the color of the phone doesn't change how it dissipates heat.
If your phone is just in your car, not being used, then yes it will probaly heat up less because it's white, but it will not cool down any faster

O.k. that makes more sense then, because I have unlimited data, so I listen to Pandora all day long off of 3G. with Push Email, and the headphones I use are Bluetooth wireless, and I have at least 12 apps running at a time.
might be with Airplane mode on..so no connections are being eaten up by battery. When I only listened to music at work, I could get about 10 hours use time just from music playing and that was with 3G on. I never turn on airplane mode.
Also make sure Wifi, bluetooth, any apps running in the background, push is set to off if you are worried about battery life. Only use those functions when you would need to use them.
