Is there no way to get the iMac to remain region free?
What if you use VLC instead of the DVD Player?
This is by far the easiest way--VLC should play the disc no matter the region coding.

Anyone else going to be here? I'm trying to figure out what time to turn up- favouring later rather than earlier, as it'd be preferable to get half a days work in.

In one of the lines, "it's" should be retyped as "its".
I don't like the music - its been done to death, and the movie 2001 almost always comes to mind when people hear it now. However, if you were to stick with that musical selection, images should be timed to the dramatic parts.

the one that was released in September/october 05 or january 05?
does it take PC2700 ram? that is the best question, will you do a direct trade for it?
The September and January 12"ers use the same RAM :D . PC2700 is the one. I can get a gig of RAM for $92. An iPod 20 gig is about $200 roughly new. So, I defiently won't do a direct trade. Are you willing to pay some cash? PM with your offer.

Thanks, I'll check Delicious Library out more, I thought it would be possible to sort lists before printing.
Copying and pasting is unfortunately not an option. My mom has arthritic hands, and my dad's an invalid, so I was hoping for something that would let her import from iTunes into an interface where she could just type in his wish of the day, and get a tailored list.

hello,
i recently moved and had to get a new AT&T internet DSL account. As a result, I had to set up everything again with my d-link 520b modem and now the time capsule does not work. when i first bought the time capsule, apple support had to help with the set up. i'm out of free tech support warranty not realizing that i would ever have to go through that pain again. does anyone know how to connect the two? any help is appreciated.

AFAIK, the new iPods can be used on both Windows and Mac OS X without formatting. But even if this isn't true it will be quite simple to use it on your mac...
What I am also interested in, are you a time traveller? ;)

Hey guys
I have 2 Western Digital NAS drives attached to an Airport Extreme and shared via AFP.
The AE connects to a Powerline system and is picked up in another room by my Mac Mini.
Everything was working fine until I bought my new AE.
Now i can only see the drives on my Mac Pro (connected by ethernet to AE) and not the Mac Mini. The Mac Mini can browse the web so there's no connection problem between the AE and the mini.
Are there some settings on the AE i need to change??
Help would be greatly appreciated!

Neither GUID or APM seem to work. I can only format at NTFS or exFAT, no HFS+ :(

Just out out of curiosity, can't you queue the files?
http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/mac/transmit-ftp-client-for-mac-os-x-gets-updated-to-version-4/530
Downloading ten files at 150KB/s is as fast as downloading one file after another at 1.5MB/s.

Doubt they'll give you a new unit but they WILL fix your current one, go ahead and bring it in.
Well in the case that they can't fix it, they will replace it.

Hi everyone... I have a new-ish macbook running snow leopard.... i used to use a windows computer too so i partitioned my 1TB external hard drive, 450gb NTFS and 550GB FAT32. and then soon after stopped using windows all together. I use the FAT32 to play films on my ps3..
Now i have completely filled up my FAT32 partition, and need to re format my NTFS partition to FAT32 so i can start using that too..... i haven't got a spare hard drive to put all of the data on, and there isnt enough space to temporarily store it on my mac.
All i need to know basically is if you can format separate partitions of an external hard drive without losing the data on the other partition and how to do it!! im too scared to just try it because this would obviously cause great great frustration if i were to lose 6 months worth of downloads and stuff! :(
thanks in advance for your help!

Going to a Jehovah Witnesses door every morning to argue the bible.
carry on....
Seriously - you tout Macs on your work place the way that JWs try to convert people? Or is it your colleagues who try to make you throw your Mac out the window the way they are tempted to do with their computers?
Assuming the latter case is the fact: It would be interesting to know which OS your colleagues use. If they use Windows, you can tell them that if they want to be elitist, they should at least use Linux. And if they already use Linux, you can tell them to use real UNIX instead of the clone (Mac OS X is BSD).

I use Otterbox but I know someone with an Atomic Hybrid Composite case saw it for first time the other day its very light weight and durable.
Anyways I went to the website http://www.atomiciphonecase.com
Looks like they are coming out with an even better model in 2 days called "The Diamondbach". Im going to hold out and see how this looks there isnt much info on it yet but if you go to that website its the 3rd flash picture on the screen.
The picture is just a sketch of it. I want to see actuall pics and a review first before I buy if its like the hybrid but better I will be looking forward to something new my otterbox is just to bulky for iPhone 4.
Diamondback isnt "better" per se, it's a totally different case from the hybrid as it's a full coverage style case, as opposed to the bumper style...
Looks pretty nice though!
