i'm not sure, but I think not, it's got a shorter, chunkier barrel than on the pic, and the cable comes out at 90 degrees.
I wish I'd seen that one, it's a real pain having to unplug to leave the thing on my desk...

I am a mac, pc and networking tech and I've been looking for an ethernet document scanner that will work on a mac only network.
I recently received the following response from canon regarding this matter. I expect to receive a similar response from fujitsu on the same issue.
Does anyone out there believe that we can create enough demand?
Please advise.
Many thanks,
Alexis (aka The Mactrician)
RESPONSE FROM CANON:
Dear Alexis (aka The Mactrician):
Thank you for writing to us. We value you as a Canon customer and
appreciate the opportunity to assist you.
Unfortunately, Canon does not release plans to us for future models so
we do not know if there are even any plans for a Mac network scanner.
Products are created based on demand or suspected demand, and demand for
Mac scanners is low, and demand for Mac network scanners is lower. I
can pass your request up, but demand so far is unlikely to produce
anything.
Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance with your
inquiry.
Thank you for choosing Canon.
Sincerely,
Justin

My latest mic purchase is the RODE NT1-A and I love it, gives alot of high end and is very very quiet.
http://rodemic.com/microphone.php?product=NT1-A
I've also heard good things about the Bluebird
http://store.apple.com/us/product/TU047LL/A?mco=MTY3ODQ5OTY
...but I don't think you can go wrong w/ the Blue THX which is USB. Simple to use and almost certainly is good enough for an online radio presentation (which is going to be compressed anyways.

The minimum wage in Missouri was a set number, until recently. The voters in Missouri voted for, and passed, a very popular initiative that tied minimum wage increases to inflation. The GOP, as expected, doesn't like this.
So, instead of allowing something that the majority of voters in their state passed, guess what the GOP in Missouri want to do.
"Take a 2x4 to Missouri working families."
U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill (D) is definitely listening, as demonstrated when she scolded the State House, once again, for nixing a voter-approved initiative regarding the minimum wage.
First they hit Wisconsin, then Ohio and Indiana. Now the Republicans war on working families has come to Missouri, McCaskill wrote in an email to supporters. Last week the Missouri State House voted to lower the minimum wage by repealing a massively popular, voter-approved initiative that linked minimum wage increases to inflation. Thats like taking a 24 to Missouri working families. We need to draw a line in the sand now as the bill moves to the State Senate.
The minimum wage escalator, which automatically increases the state minimum wage according to the price of goods, was approved by a large margin of voters in the year McCaskill was elected to the Senate.
PoliticMo (http://politicmo.com/2011/03/16/mccaskill-general-assembly-taking-a-2x4-to-workers/)
Cue GOP supporters' claims that the minimum wage actually hurts the workers because their employers have to pay it, in 5, 4, 3, 2...

Okay umm, I wish to do a clean SL reinstall. However I'm studying overseas and my SL disc is half the world away. Would there really be any difference if I obtained a copy of SL from a public source and used it instead?
I know some of you might be skeptical of helping me because I sound like a pirate, but I do have an email from Apple as proof of my original SL purchase. :(

I usually use an external firewire hard drive when editing HD clips. Your hard drive is formatted wrong so try fixing that and see what happens.

I have only a vague clue of what you mean by artistic music. If you mean 'highly original, individual music from artists that don't comform to the rules of today's pop culture', then I think I can help you. In that case, I'll attempt to give you some suggestions. Do with them what you like.

In the Finder View Options, do you have it set to either "Snap to grid" or "Keep arranged by" name/type/...? If so, it will automatically place your icons.

To be honest, I won't worry about it. IIRC, a MacBook Pro idles at about 20W. With this, the bigger battery will only have 10-12 minutes longer life. Under load, this'll obviously drop.
Once the battery has been through a few cycles, I think you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference (the new battery should be unused, so may actually hold more than the old battery, as it's capacity will have dropped).

Here is an overview of 20 Javascript visualization libraries...
http://sixrevisions.com/javascript/20-fresh-javascript-data-visualization-libraries/
I have heard good things about Protovis (listed on that site).
Also take a look at: http://mbostock.github.com/d3/
you mention silverlight (which I don't work in) so it seems that something plug-in based is not out of the question. The Flex charting components are very popular, have been around for a long time, and are easy to work with as well if you don't want to have to learn a JS library.

I say no, but it probably depends on what you are doing most of the time. If you are doing video encoding or gaming then heat dissipation on these is pretty extreme - you'll notice the hutch getting pretty hot at that distance...
I don't feel particularly good about 1" on the bottom either - that would have to affect the speakers...

when this app is running, is it constantly streaming data usage? i have a couple of chats going, just started using a couple of days ago. and for the first time i got a warning from Att then im at 70% of my usage for the month.
my internet has been down at home, so no wifi - but didnt think that would make much of a difference, this is the only app i can think of that would make this drastic of a change
on iPhone check out 'WhatsApp > Settings > Usage' to get an idea of how much the app is using

Get a pair of AKG or Sennheiser closed back headphones (you need closed back, since you don't want the sound in your headphones to leak out and get picked up by the microphone).
The Yeti is a pretty good value microphone, and should do fine.
Is this for spoken stuff? Singing?
GarageBand is fine for simple recording. If you want to do more complicated stuff, take a look at Logic express - it's has most of the functions of Logic Pro, but with a limit on the number of tracks in a project (32 I think, which should be plenty), and it doesn't ship with as many samples and virtual instruments.
