Like the apple store?
Lol, Joking....The Apple store, while certainly a "neat" place, has never been an all-around pleasant experience for me. The place is constantly packed to the brim with people
+1
While I like going to the Apple store, I don't think I will ever buy another computer there. I bought my MBP there because I needed to see the anti-glare screen beside the glossy screen.
But for a while, it seemed like I was destined to be extremely wealthy because the ivisibility cloak I designed was working to a T. I was completely invisible to anyone who was able to sell me something.
My next iMac will be bought online and shipped to me. Now if the would find a way to put you in a queue so you knew you would helped before the person that walked in the store 30 seconds ago, then maybe I would go back, but not until.

Another thing, gun ownership in the UK is very rare. So the fact that gangs which unfortunately have a make up (proportionally in London) of Black, Turkish, Kurdish and White boys means that gang members are more likely to be carrying weapons than other members of the population.
Exactly. The article totally fails to include any information about the "gun" crimes other than the color of the skin of the person arrested. It's garbage journalism.
Britain is very class based, and is probably racist too. Black people here are generally poor and don't do particularly well at school as well.
There's no such thing as a non-racist society, only those that are more tolerant than others. Also, a person's skin color on its own isn't a very good indicator of anything. A person's socio-economic and recent immigration status probably is.

Apple rightly wants to gain as wide of a distribution as possible while the product is hot and lock in these slots on the floor. They should be able to ramp up production in the future. Also, these retailers are looking to increase traffic, which drives impulse purchases. Try getting your kid out of Toys-R-Us without buying anything.
Also, people are different. Some like to shop online, some like the personal attention from a specialized store, some will just pick it up on impulse.
It's certainly possible the breadth over depth availability will bite them, but right now it only helps feed the popularity to see it advertised everywhere and available almost nowhere. It's kind of like a hit song or pop artist, I guess. Perhaps iPad 2 is the electronics product version of Elvis or the Beatles.

I doubt it since this is the World Wide DEVELOPERS Conference...I wouldnt classify an imac as a developmental machine.
Although they did give all the developers who 'rented' the 'Intel Development Kit' from WWDC '05 a Intel iMac when they were released in January. ;)
Also, kids, this is what we should be discussing:

They are the foundation of everything in the pop & rock world with a reach way outside of just pop & rock. Like Zepplin or Pink Floyd? You like the Beatles. Like Coldplay or Eminem or Devil Wears Prada or Pat Metheny or whatever ... you like the Beatles.
not really. If I like Pink Floyd, I like Pink Floyd...not the Beatles.
Saying I like Apples doesn't = I like oranges...though both are fruit.
the Beatles are talented, but tired. That was my point.
I know everyone loves them, and I also know that everyone loves the familiar...but, uh, there's loads better new music from this century and I think it would be nice to let a dead dog lay.

I finally got through again.
First time, it came back and said both the computer and battery were ineligible. After checking the Pbook's serial number again, I realized I had a digit wrong. Fixed that, and it came through and asked for my address. I then got a confirmation page, and got an email a few minutes later. So keep trying.
For the record:
15 in. Powerbook G4 purchased in June 2005
Battery serial number started with: 3K521

Not being an American, I won't wade into Constitutional issues ...
Obama is quite within his rights according to the War Powers Resolution (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_Powers_Resolution) ...
The War Powers Resolution requires the president to notify Congress within 48 hours of committing armed forces to military action and forbids armed forces from remaining for more than 60 days, with a further 30 day withdrawal period, without an authorization of the use of military force or a declaration of war. The resolution was passed by two-thirds of Congress, overriding a presidential veto.

Very good find. I'm returning my original iPad today. Deciding if I want a cheaper iPad or grab the iPad 2.

I'd suggest that those who's careers are based on maintaining our military can file for unemployment and search the want ads just like everybody else.
Now there is a logical solution
it's a good thing you are not part of the decision making process

Is that why Primark never display it on the labels of their clothing?
There is a legal requirement when importing to show the country of manufacture, BUT if a company changes the character of the product it imports it qualifies as made in USA.
Depending on the product the manufacturer then lists something like Made in USA with some parts from (put in Country)
Peopel don't rea dthat stuff anyway.
They read:
Today only $ 1.99. Buy one get one FREE!
and then throw the packaging away.

Bought the black one today.
Great product.
It is. Got mine yesterday. It looks fab, but above all it sounds like my old ( and broken) shuffle. And that's good. No, it's excellent.

The Iphone 4 camera takes amazing shots right now. If this is actually an improvement, then it would rock.
But since these boards screamed at all of us non camera experts last time for thinking that mega pixels mean a better picture, I will wait to hear about the quality.
