iAdware apparently works by silently installing a system library. That sounds like a vulnerability that Apple could easily fix, by requiring Admin privileges, issuing a warning, and/or prompting for an Admin password.
Seems easy for an end user to fix it himself. Simply change permision on the library so a non-admin can't write there. About four clicks and you're done with it.

Why is Apple always trying to make money with all their products and services, what other company does this ;)
Why can't all Apple products and services be free, I deserve it :D
thank you, someone who truly understands! I for one appreciate apple is a company which pours it's profits into MASSIVE R & D expenditures or makes fiscally responsible decisions with it's cash so that we all benefit with superior products, services and support, I am one extremely satisfied customer. anyone who whines should take their baby talk elsewhere, geez...

Read the article and links - it is all there - you continue to refuse to see it. As I stated in my earlier post - not getting into who is correct or who has refuted who - just saying info is out there giving Apple credit for pushing / envisioning / whatever the lightpeak approach.
I see it, I read it, and I read its rebuttal. Hardly something I'd base facts on, like Chuppa was doing. Again, not quite the citation I was looking for. As it stands, I think Chuppa was wrong.

It's would be fun if Microsoft released this player and Apple introduced the rumored full screen iPod a few days later..

Christ, may be old news but new to me. I like to eat but after a plate (a standard sized plate) of Turkey dinner I was stuffed. She is definitely a sick woman. I was just thinking about lunch, not so much any more.

I am very happy that Bin Laden got what was coming to him ... we also need to continue the fight on terrorism
I think that last I heard, the "tactical target" should be Ayman al-Zawahiri. Bin Laden was just some "face", but the real brains is Ayman al-Zawahiri. He was sort of like Bin Laden's Spiritual guide. In a way, Bin Laden might be just some gullible rich dude that Ayman al-Zawahiri used.

My apologies if I'm not the first person to mention this, but what about this article (http://www.macrumors.com/2011/04/13/analyst-claims-apple-branded-television-could-appear-later-this-year/) as a candidate piece of hardware?

isn't that the htss370...that should have 3 hdmi inputs and one output...you don't need a switcher

I agree with the animation glitches. For the 5 minutes I've had it on my iPhone (Did a restore, instead of upgrade), haven't noticed animation glitches like I did with 4.3 and 4.3.1, so I would say that it's a safe bet to upgrade it. Everything seems to be a lot more fluid this time around. Hope that helps. Enjoy!
Can you open a third party app (like a game or news app) that isn't already running in the background and let us know if the launch animation runs or whether it still just "pops" on screen like in 4.3 and 4.3.1 ...

Anti glare is not matt. The old imacs with matt screens were impossible to calibrate and had terrible issues with 'white-out'. The glass screens are a massive improvement and anyone with half a brain cell can sort their set up so that glare is a non issue.
I must be one of the lucky ones with a matte iMac 24" (zero problems) and its running on an SSD. I am looking for a decent Optical Drive replacement so I can use an SSD and 3TB HDD. The only noise emitted is the fan and I cannot control the speed to go any lower than :apple: default. :(

Dunno if this was posted, but Safari lets you resize text boxes within pages:
http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/8060/picture28by6.th.png (http://img502.imageshack.us/my.php?image=picture28by6.png)
http://img272.imageshack.us/img272/6174/picture29ps1.th.png (http://img272.imageshack.us/my.php?image=picture29ps1.png)
Would be better if it worked like OmniWeb and allowed you to open a resizable floating window for the text.

I'm about to get my card out and spend spend spend!!! I was going to get the 17" due to the fw800, DL superdrive and screen space of course. Now I wonder, the 15" is attractive being that bit smaller. Anyone got any comments on either? Still like the screen on the 17" but I'm thinking 15" would be a bit more portable.
15" all the way - unless you really need those extra inches, the 15" is a real sweet spot IMO. the money you save, you can always use to bump up other specs.

The reviews have been bad. My buddies at work can't get most sites to work. So, does this mean refunds? Or have people been getting this to work? Just curious.

For the "why only MBP's and not MB's too"
As said, less press coverage, but also maybe more important is that now there is a gap between the [rosumer line and the consumer line ;)
Is that good or bad..?

I'm not too sure I agree with the reason you give though. My main concern is quality control. Even with the paltry share increase Apple has seen during the past year, quality control has become an issue. Would not like to see how much poorer with a 10% share thats all
Well Apple is using Intel parts now that explains the lower quality. They're taking their parts from the same bin now; quality suffers...

Yes..... gotta love the Hoeegarden.
A BevMo just opened up down the street from me, and they have beer tastings on Fridays from 4-7. So good.....
Mmmm WHO-GAR-TEN. So deelish. I remember when I first read the label, "coriander" scared me (I absolutely abhor the stuff), but whatever they put in there is fine with me as long as it keeps tasting the way it does. I love white beers. My cheap alternative is Rickards white, but you've got to throw lotsa orange peel in there to imitate the light poppiness of Hoegarden.
Sometime soon I've gotta visit the Bier Garden down at the Esplanade and sample, well, everything.
