eBook creation has so far been the domain of the techs. Not the creatives who would really have the ideas to do the kind of stuff you refer to. Once there's a good tool out there for creating eBooks, we'll start to see that kind of stuff available. Right now, though, it just doesn't really happen because the people that can do it aren't working with the people who are creating the eBooks.
I don't think it'll take anywhere near 10 years though.

Are you saying that DVDs won't play in DVD Player, or that they don't even mount on the desktop?

Depending on model, the new iMacs ship with Core i5-2400S (low-end 21"), i5-2500S (high-end 21" and low-end 27"), i5-2400 (high-end 27") CPU's in their standard configurations. BTO variants are available with Core i7-2600S (high-end 21"), and Core i7-2600 (high-end 27").
I actually didn't know the iMac used all low-power Sandy Bridge designs ("S") for their CPU's except for the high-end 27" model (both in its BTO variant and not).
All CPU's here were introduced in early 2011 and I believe at the same date as the 2500K. :)

I am looking to create a slightly different nav for each section on my site. I need PHP to look at the URL and see if the Folder is /AboutUs/ or /Services/ or whatever...
I have it working in ASP. How do I do it in PHP?
<%
vURL = mid(Request.ServerVariables("PATH_INFO"),2,999)
vSlashPlace = Instr(1, vURL, "/")
if vSlashPlace>0 then vURL = left(vURL, vSlashPlace-1)
if vURL = "Home" then
%>
HTML code goes here
<%
elseif vURL = "AboutUs" then

What error message (if any) are you seeing?
(Sorry if you understood this part) Categories are automatically generated if a [[Category:foo]] tag is found out in the regular articles. The only thing you can edit directly in a category is some introductory information that will appear above the lists of articles and categories.
So, to add Category:Storage to Category:Third-Party Hardware, you would add the link [[Category:Third-Party Hardware]] anywhere inside the [[Category:Storage]] page.
Does that answer your question, or am I misunderstanding what's happening to you?

I already have, and daily use, #2, #3, and #4. Adium is an amazing chat client that I use daily. I just bought the pro version of Weather Pop ($8 ain't bad!). I use OnyX every week to optimize my system.
The only software that I wish was on this list is X-Chat Aqua.
http://xchataqua.sourceforge.net/
This is a really cool and free IRC client. I recommend it 100%!

Do AdrianK's second option!
If you do the first (copy the music from their library into your library) the each song file will be on your hard drive multiple times - if you have large music collections this can fill up a drive fast.
So, have everyone move their music library to the same folder and then change the location in iTunes (the way AdrianK said to). It might be a good idea to move all the artist folders (do it for each user, then continue), open iTunes (canceling any warnings about iTunes not finding you music files), highlight all your music (Ctrl+A), delete it (this should delete the entry from the library, not the actual file), and then change the music folder location as AdrianK mentioned. It should re-scan the all the files and add them back into the library. This should prevent duplicate entries in the library, where half the links would be broken.
I hope that helps.
Also, once everyone's music is consolidated, make sure and back it all up how ever you want to because...eventually...your computer WILL DIE.

Why isit that you will skip vga?
VGA is outdated, and DVI/HDMI are better equipped to handle higher resolutions. VGA is an analog signal. HDMI is a digital signal. There is much greater risk for signal degradation, particularly with a long cable, with VGA than HDMI.

Hello all,
I'm a student filmmaker. I use FCP. I just bought the new 15 in. Macbook Pro to use for school and video editing. I love it BUT as I am a poor college student it was a huge chunk out of my wallet and I'm considering trading or returning for the 13 in.
My original plan was to use the 15 in for everything and start earning money but now I'm starting to think that it would be smart to get the 13in and then when more money is earned buy the imac 21.5 which would be a nice combination. I would only be using the 13 in for light editing and iMac for heavy stuff. I'm not sure if I need ALL that mobile power that the 15 has, I believe the 13 would be just fine for small editing tasks away from home.
I would like your opinion. Do you think it would be better to keep the laptop or trade and save some money now with the 13 in and get an imac later on when the new ones come out.
Since I already bought the 15 I'm not sure what to do.
Your opinion is appreciated!

He's saying that the iBook won't go to sleep as set in the Energy Saver preferences. It only goes to sleep when he closes the lid or chooses it from the menu.
As to fixing the problem, I don't know.

As a toy collector, I would like to point out that that is not an action figure - it is a statue, note the lack of joints :p.
That said this is a bit of a non-story, company makes unauthorised likeness of someone, that person finds out about it and asks them to stop, they do.

Hallmark for Mac is the best that I've found. Easy to use with your own design from the included images or from their designs where you can edit most of the type.
thanks for the suggestion, can I use my own photographs in the card designs?

This could be as simple as setting up port forwarding on your modem/router or as complex as setting up routing on your network. It depends on your situation with your connection to the outside world.
I suppose a few more details for specific help would be required. Do you want it visible to the outside world, or just another subnet that you are connected to? Are you on a corporate network, or a small network with a basic ISP modem/router that you have access to?
Edit: Do you want to publish it to a hosted co.cc domain, or host it on your own server?
I would prefer to have it accessible by everyone, though I plan to only let a few people know the link to it.
I'm on a private LAN, nothing fancy or related to business or others aside from myself really.
I was told that I had to get an external domain for it to work, and I'd like to use that in the link.
I checked my 2WIRE and it said that Mac OS X server is already being forwarded, yet when I switch to a nearby separate LAN I am unable to get it to work.
Thanks again. :)

Hi there
That's dead useful, thank you. I've passed it on.
Is there any way for me to check which serial numbers have been blacklisted?
Best regards, Lycia
