Was it first h1 renewal (meaning 3rd year) or second h1 renewal (meaning 7th year).
Did you do anything extra to avoid PIMS delay (like when you renewed your h1) did your employer keep another copy with a notice saying send to Kentucky CC

It was first H1b ext. Company did not send second copy to Kentucky CC . On roadside window where VFS does preliminary check , vfs person put PIMS forbid in DS 156. Dont know what does it mean. also h1b renewal was in nov 2008 and I went for .stamping in feb 2009.
One more thing VFS mumbai told me that they will not allow even US born child ( even new born ) if they are not applicant. Only applicant child ( those who are for h4 ) allowed inside. at delhi situation was totally different.

On July 8th I filed my EAD. I never got any Finger Print Appointment from USCIS. I have been constantly trying to reach them about my FP appointment. But, on Sep 20TH I got a notice saying my petition has been denied because I have not appeared for my FP on Aug 3rd.
They asked me to file a motion, my confusion is should I file a motion or should I reapply. Which one makes it easy and fast to get my EAD ASAP.

I got soft LUD on my and my wife 485 on 02/10/2009
I called USCIS they said , it is an batch update - no information they can provide. I am not sure what it means.
Does any one else got soft LUD around this date ?
We got it on the same exact date. No RFE, just soft LUD. I was hoping they probably processing our cases. But if its just a BATCH update, its a bummer.
However, I am surprised you called the USCIS and they entertained your call. They must be in good mood that time.

My company filed my labour for PM/PL but job classification code is that of SE (Occ. Code 030.062.010)
I guess any kind of lead activity involves some kind of co-ordination/planning anyways of subordinate SE's.
I have also seen PM labours under some different occ. code.'s as well something like Technical Manager

Yes, Travel via London needs:
EITHER Valid Visa stamping in Passport to Destination Country
OR Direct-Air-Transit UK Visa stamping in Passport
Advance Parole is really a valid Entry Permit - but, it has a class about the officer may still deny your admission. This class is a statement to send the candidate back if they do not want to allow due to some issues after the AP is issued, etc. So, some countries (like UK) do not allow to fly in AP without valid visa stamping.
FYI: My friend travelled via Germany and he returned back OK. Going to India via Germany is not an issue for Indian Citizens - but, Germany had the same rule as UK 2 Yrs back for returning to USA sector. Looks like, Germany allows transit travel using APs now-a-days. Not sure 100% about return to USA using AP , better to check.

I applied for my I-140/485 together in the last week of June. I havent got the receipt numbers yet. My wife is on H1 and since she is not the primary application on my 485 forms, is it okay if she changes her job. Will her H1 transfer affect both of our applications.

Because you remained in the US for more than a year after USCIS denied your change of status you are barred from entering the US for 10 years. I applied by mail to the DC embassy. I sent photocopies of everything and no problem.
The only thing to note though is that the DC embassy took a whole month to process my visa. I was going to Canada in September, applied in early july and received it somewhere in August. In the meanwhile when enquired about the status through email, they said they will delay it more now because I enquired. :) (and we think Indian govt. offices have bad attitude)
So I'd advise you to accomodate for the long time to get the Visa, if applying by mail.

I just received an email from USCIS saying that my I-140 has been denied. I touched base with the attorney & she has not yet received any documentation from USCIS. This has been the 1st change in my status since Aug 07. My case is pending at TSC.
Does anyone know if this is a fairly common occurance for USCIS to deny I-140 without an RFE? Any advise on what to do next?
