Hey guys I'm having a couple of issues with floats with this site i'm designing
http://zanthus.co.uk/VBG/membership.html
The photo is a float and the text isn't
what is forcing the text over like that ?
thanks for any advice
The photo has these properties:
#image1 {
float:left;
position:relative;
top:25px;
left:25px;
width:240px;
height:190px;
}
and the text has these:
#membershipcontent {
background-color:#e9e8e5;
border-radius: 15px;
width:650px;
height:600px;
position:relative;
font-family:"Arial Black", Gadget, sans-serif;
top:25px;
left:285px;
padding:10px;
margin-right:35px;
margin-bottom:35px;
}
Thanks
Craig

I appreciate the spirit of the event, but some of those notes are clearly too high for those guys to be singing. Ouch... :eek:
Edit: also, harmony.
Edit again: ooh, but he's really getting into it by 9:55.

He's such a pinko lefty for performing "Share the Land" ;)
I got a kick out of it, I could never see Ignatieff doing something like that though.
I hear that Marie Antoinette was a farking laugh at parties. :mad:

So I can't seem to find a definitive answer to my question online in various searches. Two times recently when I started my Mini it beeped first before starting up. The first time was definitely the three beeps, as if bad memory. I have 3GB, 1 GB is the original memory + 2GB from OWC. I have had the memory in the mini for more than a year. I do have 8GB of memory available, just been to lazy to tear open the mini & put it in.
Today, a few days after the 3 beeps, the Mini started with a series of beeps. I am sure it wasn't the 3 beeps, more like 4 or more I think. Then it would restart the beep series. This happened a few times, then the Mini started normally.
I also occasionally hear a scratching like noise come from the mini every now & then.
Just wondering if anyone here had any ideas. I do have Applecare on the machine ( I got it the very last day ), so I am assuming Apple will help. I also have an Apple store relatively close by, but it's such a crowded zoo, that I'd rather avoid that if possible.
Thanx

That is crazy! They were some great photos though. That really makes me think about doing all I can to (try to) protect my work. Even though I don't have anything really special yet, maybe I'll get lucky some day and get something amazing. This really highlights how easy it is to lose control of your work and how quickly it can be stolen and spread around the world in this digital age.

There are a couple of options for you. Either install OS X to the new blank drive. When the install is complete and the computer boots, you will be presented with the option to migrate data from another source (computer, TimeMachine, etc...).

The other option is to use Carbon Copy Cloner to create a bootable replica of your system drive.
Here is an article outlining the steps for migrating to a new system using TimeMachine:

All-
I'm really keen on adding a guide on how to install 3rd party applications on iPhone Firmware 1.1.1. Before now, it was simple (AppTapp was all you needed). But now, with the extra jailbreak step, I don't think anyone has done a very good job of documenting the process and especially making it accessible.
I'd like to create a readable guide. Once we have the guide done, we'll post it on the iPhone blog.
Really, really high level (haven't done the research yet... hoping people who have done it already might be able to help):
-Jailbreak (supply step by step instructions)
-Install AppTapp 3.0 beta

Thanks for the advice. I will try that when I get home from work today. Do I issue that command from the terminal screen? Sorry to sound so clueless. I'm not familiar at all with the server version yet. I guess I need the OSX server for dummies book! :rolleyes:

I was considering selling my powermac g4 and was wondering what i could get for the system. Its a 733 quicksilver 384mb ram, 2 40gb hard drives, and comes with a wireless keyboard, original black pro keyboard and mouse, and dell 15" lcd monitor. What could I get for it on here and on ebay. It is running tiger. Its a cd-rw
I would say around $500-$750 USD. Check out eBay and see what similar systems go for. :)

You're a guy, go with white and be done with it. I'd be more concerned about where I'd be getting my alcohol from and making sure I've got some protection.

So I bought a wireless mouse, but I would like to return it. I was wondering:
1) Is it okay to return the item without packaging? I have everything else that came with the mouse.
2) Is it okay to return an item I purchased from one Best Buy to another Best Buy? I bought the mouse from a store that is 2 hours away...
I have the receipt and payed with credit card.
Thanks guys.

if you shot a lot on Hi8 you might considering a cheap Digital8 camera, it has FireWire(DV) out and you can use it to playback older analog tapes and capture them trough FireWire(DV) without any problem
if you didn't shot anything in Hi8 yet... go for the more spread miniDV
or indeed an analog tranformer, but I don't know the good ones, but I think you might recon +400 EURO (541,68 USD) for one of those...

My 2010 Ford Fiesta does exactly the same thing, as soon as my iPhone is connected and I select the BT option a song will start playing.

I already have the 35mm DX but if Nikon were to make a similar priced 20 or 24mm I'd ditch the 35mm for the 50mm and wider prime combination.

You mite want to start learning HTML, CSS, and jQuery. You will only become more and more limited by iWeb, that is not designed for professional sites regardless.
Once you have a mastering of basic HTML and CSS then moving onto jQuery will give you all the power you need for interactive slideshows and many other things. jQuery coding is quite trivial and easy to learn though can be difficult to master as most things are.
Wordpress wile good at what it does will pull up the same road blocks as iWeb if you do not know how to get into the nitty gritty to do the things you want.
