i filed my labor 7 years ago as a programmer, today i am a project manager. I have changed job using ac21 twice, did not inform uscis even once (as its not reqd by law). I am in eb3 india and I have no hopes that uscis will ever get to my application, and even if they did after 5 years from now, I dont care if they issue an RFE and deny my 485 all together. Point I am trying to say is , you cannot spoil your career waiting for this. I changed my job exactly on 6 months and one day after i filed 485. past 2 years i am a PM. I am pretty confident that I would have had atleast 5 years PM experience by the time they reach my application or even more time. After all I want to go back to my home country pretty soon and so did not want to care about all this job title, description etc crap..this is just me..use your own instincts.

I went online to change address.
It didn't ask for pending case#'s anywhere.
I tried calling customerservice but I get this message that CSR work only between 8-6 Mon-Fri and is asking me to call back later though I called at 10am.
Today is a holiday for them then for Veteran's Day. I'm not surprised they're closed.

I attended the event at UMass Lowell. Congressman Marty Meehan and new governor elect Deval Patrick were at the event. The topic of discussion was "global warming". Both governor and congressman took off after the event but I had a chance to talk to their staff.
One of congressman's staff went through the folder I provided with IV documents but he works for energy related issues and will pass to the staff dealing with immigration. He did provide me the senior staff member who looks into immigration issues. I'm going to email and try and meet him. Congressman Meehan is part of the judiciary committee related to immigration.
MA members> I'll send out a separate email to you guys and each one of us should contact and educate the congressman though his main focus seems to be the climate change issue.

That is exactly what we want the house members to know. Our lives are on hold; my wife cannot work, and I cannot move!
Also, a BIG THANK YOU for distancing ourselves from the H1B quota issue that the industry is after. That will get us nowhere in the house that struck it down last time from their bill.

I don't think there's anyway around it. Try to visit over a weekend, leave Friday evening and return Sunday. If you not you will loose the your PR which would be a waste.

This one was really difficult for me to evaluate because of all the openess, but I felt myself gravitating more towards the forms in number 3. Since it was the form that attracted me, I downloaded and cropped to make the fence the focus (since that's what grabbed my attention initially). I think I like the crop sans sky where only the wheatfield ( or is it oats?) and fence posts show the most. I know it has less complexity than the entire photo; maybe I'm just into simplistic and minimalist this week :)

I have my labor filed and approved for EB3 March 2005 PD. My I140 too has been approved in June 2007. I filed for 485 on July 2nd. I would like to know whether I can now start a fresh EB2 and also apply for I140 and use the older Eb3 priority date of March 2005. I have not changed my company I need guidance for experts in this regard.

DLs are all managed at State level, but there is an effort to standardize it. My wife applied for DL/Learner's permit in AZ. We had H4 valid thru Aug 31, and an extension starting Sep 1, but they refused to give us the extended period. Their explanation - the software would not allow it. They could not enter information based on 2 documents because the Notice of the extension did not become effective till Sep 1. We had to go back & get it extended, and they did it without another test. But we had to pay another fee.
And, I basically got a lifetime DL because I had applied way back in the good old days, 1998!

Your extension may be become invalid. We use I94 number in the extension application form. when you get extension approval you have the extended I94 for the same number.
If you have traveled you have different i94 from the recent travel and different one in extension.
Do you have any source on this....I also had to amend my H1B last month. Its done without any issues..

Can anybody tell me how long it takes for the USCIS to cash the check and send out a receipt notice for H1-B extensions? My 6 year H1-B is expiring today, as per Fedex the USCIS had received my extension a week ago (extension based on Approved I-140) package but I called the USCIS and they have no record of receiving such application. I am worried that I might be out of status if they receive it late or the package gets misplaced.

I know one can do a re instatment of h1b as long as the h1b is VALID. For example if an applicant's h1b expires in SEP 2011 and he/she joins a co. on EAD today 10th April 2008 but then gets fired on April 15 2009 or his/her GC is denied for w/e reason then he/she can go file for reinstatment of h1b but will have to leave USA and get stamping of h1b from Canda/mexico/home country........
Any other options.........?

Well. If you are planning to use EAD, it is probably not an issue.
However if someone is transferring H1 at 7th year it has to be based on a pending labor or pending/approved I-140.
How do you prove that you have a I-140 pending/approved without attaching the documentation?
If 180 days have passed after I-140 approval, then there is nothing to worry about not having a copy of I-140.

In some places, depending on your experience and capabilities, you might as well get comparable salary to US. Given that cost of living is low in India, you might end up with same disposable income after taxes and expenses.
Good to hear that Americans are getting an idea what it would be to live in a shell in a global economy. Germany, UK opened up their borders and more EU countries might follow suit like Netherlands, Belgium, lastly France.

I personally think, contacting lawyer for tracking number is not breach of contract.
Try your HR first, give some time. Then sseend a decent reminder - tell them how important it is say ur wife has to travel etc...
Then send some pleasant emails to lawyer office, call them. Copy your HR also.
