If it was at 2' 16'' during the month you got LUD, it means you are stuck in name check.

There actually are four separate types of A#. You can tell them apart by the number of digits and the first digit. The first kind is an eight-digit A#. These are manually assigned at local offices. If you have one of these numbers, simply treated it as if it was "0" plus the number. 2. You PD should be in Jan/Feb/Mar so you worry about people just blocking your way.

I got receipts on Oct 20 for my application sent on Jul 18 and received by USCIS on 19th. I sent it to NSC and get receipts from TSC.
however, the receipt date is Aug 17th. Can others share their receipt dates? is it close to the date received by USCIS ?
I am afraid this might affect the overall processing time badly.

Let's not laugh it off so completely. When was the LUD on your I-485? It will give us some more clue about what exactly is going on behind the iron curtains.
Recently my wife went for finger printing.... none of us except her received FP notice. So she went there and did FP and asked the person over there about why I didn't get FP.
The person asked her my name and A#. He looked into the system and said I didn't get FP because by July you will get your GCs...... my FPs are still valid.... I know what he said is not true.... as you can see my PD.... but I keep wondering why he said that after looking in his system...... :confused:

I have an important question that I need to ask here. What is going to be Job title in employment verification letter. For example if I work in company as a Software consultant and H1B states that I am Programmer Analysts and my PERM labor has stated Software Programmer Engineer.
So out of these 3 which one will going to be in my employment letter. I am unable to get in touch with attorney thru company and our HR doesnt know what to write in Employement letter. Any advise from people who already got their employement letter from their employer.

We all know that we are able to file 485 on July and we got EAD due to IV efforts. Which in turn helping us to get a 600$ rebate for the spouse (Some plan to spend the money).. Can we make a pledge here that we will contribute a certain % to our organization? The % can be your choice. Lots of people have done H1-F1-H1 in the past and they are not counted against the quota. You can search for various attorney's (including Rajiv of immigration.com and Murthy of murthy.com) answers for ur specific question either in their websites or thru google. I did some research on this specific thing in the past and also had confirmed with immigraion HR in my company. So I am pretty much sure that you are not counted against the cap. You would need to apply before the visa (F1/opt period) expires so that you dont get to stay in US without any valid visa. so no hurry and dont worry about adv degree cap.

No I am not a research fellow. Just Telecomm Engineer who has Master's Degree from US. I just interpreted Research Item in 221G Green Document as my Thesis work and explained it in the research statement along with the other documents.

The highlighted statement doesn't seem to be correct. You can have more than one employer file an H-1B petiton for you.
Until the time you left your university employer, you were in status with the original H-1B (cap exempt).
Now, you need to either get the job back at the university, or ask the consultant outfit (A) to employ you.
Could you state the reason given my USCIS for denying the H-1B petition filed by consultant (B)?
Also, I would refrain from using the word "transfer", as there is no such thing. It is always a new petition, with request to not count it in the yearly cap.
Get a good attorney to solve this issue as practically speaking, you were out of status from period of 2006-2008 as your Company A's Approval overrided your university H1.
