That sounds pretty cool - if it could be harnessed to charge from the heat developed by a processor, RAM, or even the battery itself... :)

    And cut what?

    Medicare fraud
    Defense spending
Reducing the ridiculous layers of federal, state and local government
    Corporate and farm subsidies
    Welfare fraud

    That's a good start.

    My experiences with general..

A lot like what Racer described: hooked up the IV, then came the injection, after a few seconds I could feel some warmness spreading up my arm, then my chest and finally my eyelids just started feeling really heavy.

When I wake up, out of the OR, I feel really really groggy... can barely lift my head to look around to see where I am. Both times my parents had to help me walk to the car. Got home and had something light to eat... soup, crackers... then more sleep. Few hours later I'm feeling infinitely better and I fall asleep around a semi-regular time and sleep for a good 9-10 hours.

Never got sick, just sort of dizzy and feeling "out of it".

    Good point.

    Both of which are essential.

Btw Other proposals/suggestions are also welcome, however many or few posts you have :).

    Thank You.

I'm not convinced yours will do this to be honest. Your categories don't seem totally clear to me.

I don't think they can be much clearer. Hardware refers to well, Hardware, Software to um... Software. Hmm, maybe I'm looking at it from the wrong perspective though, why don't you think it's clear?

    Sebastian

I'd be interested to know this as well (have the same machine with the 512MB of VRAM option).I have the late 2009 MBP, 2.8 GHz 512mb graphics card. It runs fine, though I can't set it to ultra, I have to keep it on medium. When I forget to switch graphics cards, the 9400m runs on Low settings, but it still looks pretty good on low, just more cartoony.

That has nothing to do with the hundreds of billions we dump on weapons that don't even get used.

Agreed, it's the carrier that sets the time, not the device.

I sleep with my AT&T iPhone set to airplane mode so that it won't disturb me in the night - when I woke up this morning, it was still on the old time. (Good thing I wasn't relying on any alarms)

As soon as I switched off airplane mode, allowing it to access the cell network, it correctly jumped forward an hour to daylight savings time.

A MacBook trackpad does NOT need a click to register.
You can change the settings so that you do not need to click at all, it simply takes your touch as a click. I use it in this way all the time, I NEVER click the touchpad.

Yes but you do not need to use it as a physical button.
You can use the MacBook 100% without EVER clicking the physical button.
The trackpad can be setup in System Preferences to respond to a touch as a click rather than a physical click. That is the way I have used it from days one and I have no issues with it at all.

I always question the sanity of people who use laptops this way.

Apple should've held out on the refresh to include USB 3 and even HDMI. Thunderbolt is currently useless.

DisplayPort to HDMI cables that support both audio and video are quite inexpensive from many online sources. I use one from my iMac to my 40" LCD TV and the DP port takes up a good bit less space than an HDMI port would (which can be important for a portable device).

Sorry dude, all the lights are red at this intersection.

Sadly, I agree. There are other possible explanations, but I'm afraid occam's razor (http://pespmc1.vub.ac.be/OCCAMRAZ.html) applies here. ;)

well.. I was a sucker hoping for an authentic kit. My wife really wanted a white iphone, and I bought this kit to convert a regular one as an x-mas gift.

Apple has nothing to worry about. These pieces are not from Apple.. they're friggin plastic. Filing a dispute with paypal and my CC now.

Did the add say it was from apple then ?

Then how do you feel about our current president?

He's better than the McCain would have been in most things, but on a whole he gives in to the Republicans way too much. He passed their healthcare plan instead of one that would actually work, kept Guantanamo open, and as far as "National Security" goes he's about the same as Bush. So basically, he was the best of the two choices, but still not very good.

I thought you described yourself as an anarchist. What's your definition of an anarchist? Someone who supports a lot of state control?

Anarchism is as much about abolishing capitalism as it is about abolishing the state. I am also practical in that I can separate what I consider ideal, from it is a practical reality given the current situation. Funny how you intentionally distracted from the fact that the cuts are about ideology and have nothing to do with the budget.

The state is, at least to a certain degree, accountable to some semblance of democratic control (as problematic as it may be), corporations are inherently undeomocratic institutions by design. I will also always put the working class above the haves and the corporate fat cats.

Honestly, I never understood what was so frightening about talking to girls and trying to get a date, especially when it's someone you are just meeting and may never or rarely ever see again.

It can only go one of three ways: she could say yes and go on the date, say no but just be friends, or say hell no altogether.

No offense, but don't be such a chicken ****, just ask her!

Need a not-so-cheesy line that usually works for me? Say "I'm not usually this straightfoward, but you seem like a really interesting person and I was kind of hoping to get to know you better. Would you maybe like to go to [insert local place of interest here] with me on [available day of week] night?"

All your questions will be answered when she responds, then you can sulk or strut all the way home (depending on her response, of course). :)

Everyone is dressed up but Steve....awesome.

Not really. It's his trademark - after all, Steve Jobs is another product from Apple's marketing department.

I'm rather disappointed that Mark Zuckerberg did not appear in casual clothes as well. I would have expected more from him.

still cheaper than a lot of the competition. before we went to sql 2005 we looked at Oracle. by the time you bought the add on packs it was almost $1 million for our installation. SQL was 1/4 that.

AD might be a bit expensive but the AD forests people created in Windows 2000 can be upgraded every version with minimal issues and it works out of the box. with other products you first have to spend months creating your schema, pray it doesn't break when used with other products and upgrading can be a big PITA. AD is the apple of corporate IT. you don't need a team of geeks toiling away for months to code a ldap schema, it just works out of the box

    1. You aren't looking very hard if your choices became MSSQL vs OracleDB.

    2. If you spend months creating your LDAP or even AD schema/map, you need to go back to your clients/customer/contractee/er and do some proper planning.

    3. AD was quickly dumped by the likes of Wall Street and Cox Industries. AD is a solution, not the Apple of Corporate IT.

I work for a large telecom company and was installing home internet service for a customer that had an iPhone. When I asked if he wanted me to set up his wifi for him he said sure. When I looked at it the top right hand corner said T-mobile. I looked at the phone and said to myself T-Mobile? Then just carried on. So now looking at this article makes me think that they are actually testing it on their network. I don't know what to think of it actually.
