Amanda Brumfield was convicted of manslaughter last Friday in Orlando and will be sentenced in July.
The 32-year-old Brumfield was acquitted of first-degree murder and aggravated child-abuse charges.
Thornton's daughter had been facing a murder charge for the death of her best friend's daughter during a sleepover in 2008.
